'Now that I have to run' star Bae Yoon-jung complains of knee pain during the 'morning run.'
The second episode of the special program commemorating MBN's 30th anniversary, 'Now that I have to run,' will air on Saturday, 26th, at 8:20 p.m., featuring 16 novice runners who begin their training session after the first overnight camp in Yeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.
Earlier, the 16 novice runners who completed the '5km marathon' in Yeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, during the launch ceremony of the 'Now that I have to run Crew,' sleep together at the lodging. The next morning, Director General Sean and Deputy Director General Lee Young-pyo wake everyone up by shouting, 'Time to get up!' They then surprise everyone with an announcement that they will start the 'morning run.' Heo Jae, who woke up dazed, cannot hide his surprise, asking, 'We're running right away?' Meanwhile, everyone becomes worried when Sleepy goes missing. As tension rises with concern about whether a 'dropout' occurred overnight, the remaining novice runners begin their 'morning run' following the commands of Director General Sean and Deputy Director General Lee Young-pyo.
The morning training course features an uphill run on Mount Sobaek, and the 'novice runners' start running calmly. However, Bae Yoon-jung gradually falls behind, and eventually stops. He urgently calls for help, saying, 'It hurts too much here,' and reveals that his knee was in agony after running 5km yesterday.
He expresses frustration, noting, 'When I taught the kids (dance) and they complained about pain, I would say, 'Are you the only one in pain?'' He is upset with himself. Attention is focused on whether Bae Yoon-jung can overcome the knee pain and rejoin the training. Bae Yoon-jung is married to a husband 11 years her junior and has one daughter.
Meanwhile, Yang Se-hyung, a member of the 'Now that I have to run' commentary team, extols the virtues of the 'morning run' to Bang Eun-hee and Yul-hee, saying, 'Running like this in the morning will help your makeup set well and reduce puffiness.' Deputy Director General Lee Young-pyo agrees, stating, 'The waste is eliminated, and your skin improves.' Bae Sung-jae jokes, 'It feels like some kind of pyramid scheme,' which makes everyone burst into laughter.
Whether the novice runners can successfully complete the day's group training, starting with the 'morning run,' remains to be seen. Viewers can find out about the 'Now that I have to run Crew's' marathon challenges in the second episode airing on Saturday, 26th, at 8:20 p.m. on MBN.
