The 'K-band scene representative' Lucy (LUCY) has made a crack in the domestic major music charts with 'Wajangchang.'
Lucy released their mini album 6, 'Wajangchang,' on the 23rd, and all tracks on the album charted in the Melon HOT 100 (within 30 days of release/within 100 days of release) immediately after its release, proving its hot popularity. Among these, the double title tracks 'Jamkkai' and 'Hama' also ranked 6th and 7th on the HOT 100 (within 30 days of release), showcasing their status as the people's picks.
In addition, Lucy's new songs have decorated the cover of the 'Cool K'IDs Rock' playlist, which collects hot songs from Korean rock music, after being included in global music streaming platform Spotify's 'Rising Hits Korea,' 'All New K-Pop (recent domestic pop),' and 'K-Pop Rising' playlists, further validating their name as the 'K-band scene representative.'
In particular, domestic and international listeners have been expressing positive reviews about 'Hama.' 'Hama' features witty FX sounds providing a delightful twist, characterized by its addictive melody and lyrics that are unforgettable after just one listen. Listeners are also praising it with comments like "This is exactly Lucy," "An unexpected melody that completely hit my taste," "It's amazing how they've broadened their spectrum while not losing their color," "I got chills during the violin solo," and "Lucy did Lucy things."
With the release of Lucy's new album, their debut track 'Gaehwa (Flowering)' is also being reexamined as spring arrives. In fact, 'Gaehwa (Flowering)' has entered the Circle Chart streaming chart for four consecutive weeks, showing signs of a reverse run, drawing attention to its future.
Meanwhile, Lucy will hold their seventh solo concert, 'Wajangchang,' for three days from May 2 to 4 at the Hwajeong Gymnasium of Korea University in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, where they will meet with fans.
