Recently, a photo was posted in an online community showing the Hong Sang-soo-Kim Min-hee couple walking with their newborn at Misaho Lake Park in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. This scene has created significant buzz as it marks the couple's first official outing since the birth of their extramarital child and the first public appearance of the newborn.
In the photo, Kim Min-hee was holding the newborn tightly in her arms, and although the baby's face was partly covered by a small hat, some features were visible. The image also captured director Hong Sang-soo smiling as he made eye contact with the baby. As the photo spread, netizens expressed their strong interest with comments like, "It looks like Hong Sang-soo," and "Even with a hat, the cuteness can't be hidden."
Notably, another middle-aged woman was seen walking alongside the couple, drawing attention. There is ongoing interest regarding the identity of this woman, who is presumed to be the child's maternal grandmother or a family member assisting with postpartum care.
In January, it was reported that Kim Min-hee was pregnant with director Hong Sang-soo's child, causing a stir, and it has since been confirmed that she gave birth to a boy. After giving birth, she was reportedly staying at a postpartum care center in Hanam to focus on recovery.
Meanwhile, the two became connected through the 2015 film "Right Now, Wrong Then" and have maintained a de facto relationship since 2016. Although director Hong Sang-soo is still legally married, he has effectively halted domestic activities with Kim Min-hee and is continuing his career primarily at international film festivals.
