"Second Shot at Love" unveiled a character relationship chart reflecting the cheerful relationships of the people in Bocheon Village.
Set to premiere on May 12 (Mon.), the new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama "Second Shot at Love" (written by Myung Soo-hyun, directed by Jang Yu-jeong, produced by Studio Dragon, and House Pictures) features a highly rational drinker who, after reuniting with a first love that despises alcohol, embarks on her first challenge of sobriety, marking a romantic drama.
As a five-person ensemble led by Han Geum-joo (played by Choi Soo-young) and the psychiatrist Seo Ui-joon (played by Gong Myoung), who despises alcohol, embarks on a journey of sobriety, the focus turns to the colorful relationships within Bocheon Village.
At the Bocheon Health Center, unique characters are also present. Following Seo Ui-joon to Bocheon is the former head nurse from a prestigious Seoul hospital, Baek Hye-mi (played by Bae Hae-sun), and the physical therapist Yeong-rong (played by Lee Tae-yul), who became a follower of Han Geum-joo after never forgetting the help she received during school years. Their individual stories related to Seo Ui-joon and Han Geum-joo raise curiosity.
Additionally, Han Geum-joo's long-time friends Bong Seon-wook (played by Kang Hyeong-seok) and Lee Yeong-woong (played by Park Gang-seob) each have feelings for Han Geum-joo's sister Han Hyun-joo (played by Jo Yoon-hee) and Bong Seon-wook's sister Bong Seon-hwa (played by Kim Bo-jeong), showcasing the charms of straightforward younger men. Bong Seon-wook's bold expressions of affection towards Han Hyun-joo and Lee Yeong-woong's unwavering gaze upon Bong Seon-hwa add excitement to Bocheon Village.
There are also two couples who add chaos and joy to Bocheon. Ki-beom Bu (played by Lee Joong-ok) and Ki-beom Mo (played by Kim Hyun-sook), who run Bocheon Charcoal Grilled Ribs, frequently bicker with Han Jung-soo (played by Kim Sang-ho) and Kim Kwang-ok (played by Kim Seong-ryeong), stirring up the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Young Hoon's Supermarket owner Young Hoon Bu (played by Son Sang-gyu) and Young Hoon Mo (played by Joo In-young) act as peacekeepers, calling out, "Don't fight, have another bottle of alcohol~" Their mere appearances add warmth, alongside the Chinese restaurant owner (played by Kim Jeong-hyeon) and the chicken restaurant owner (played by Ha Eun-seom).
Additionally, the appearance of child actors who will bring a lovely energy to the drama is highly anticipated. Han Hyun-joo's twin sons Uri (played by Park Do-joon) and Nara (played by Lee Si-jun) exude untamed energy, while Lee Yeong-woong's daughter Hwa-young (played by Kim Min-chae) captures attention as a beloved character roaming the neighborhood. With their unpredictable actions and cheerful charms, the energetic children inject fresh vitality into Bocheon's daily life.
Alongside this, Han Geum-joo's colleague and best friend Choi Mi-yeon (played by Yeom Seung-i), her ex-boyfriend Kim Joo-yeob (played by Yoo Ui-tae), and her workplace superior Kim Su-seok (played by Jeon Jin-o) are expected to form various relationships with Han Geum-joo, be it fate or "Karma."
"Second Shot at Love" production team noted, "The people of Bocheon Village are living beings who contribute to the flow of the story," adding, "As their individual narratives and sense of life accumulate, we expect to convey deeper empathy and warmth to the viewers."
