Actress Demi Moore (62) candidly opened up about her 'heartbreaking' failure to win the Best Actress award.
Hollywood legend Demi Moore was expected to win her first Academy Award for the film 'Substance.' However, the honor for Best Actress at the 97th Academy Awards held last March went to Mikey Madison (25) for the film 'Anora.'
Demi Moore recalled that time and opened her heart honestly. She said in a recent interview with Time, "It was really wonderful to know Mikey Madison (the lead actress of 'Anora'), and I think she did an excellent job acting."
Because there were high expectations for her, it was natural to feel disappointment. However, she confessed that she had a feeling of losing even before the winner's envelope was opened. She said, "I don't know why I knew, but I did," adding, "I felt truly calm and collected. I wasn't upset at all, and I had no such feelings. I just trusted what would happen next, and I still do."
However, Demi Moore did not rule out the possibility of competing for Oscar honors again. She expressed her honest feelings, saying, "I hope that could be the case (if there's a chance to win an award)."
