Actresses Bae Jong-ok and Byeon Jeong-soo revealed their experiences of sexual harassment that occurred during their acting careers.
On the 23rd, a video titled "Do you think of your ex-boyfriend? A chaotic truth game with the sisters" was uploaded to the 'Girls' Channel.
On that day, Bae Jong-ok, Yoon Hyun-sook, and Byeon Jeong-soo participated in a truth game using couple Jenga. During the game, Bae Jong-ok received the question, "If there was a moment when your fantasy about the opposite sex was shattered?" and honestly answered, "Doesn't it always shatter?"
When asked, "What was the biggest thing?" he began, "To be honest, my fantasy about the opposite sex was shattered a lot after I became a talent. Looking at the actors." Upon hearing this, Byeon Jeong-soo agreed, saying, "Me too. It's so different from what we imagined. How could they act like that? There are many things like that."
In particular, Bae Jong-ok disclosed, "I don't know why male actors behaved so vulgarly in our era." Byeon Jeong-soo expressed her anger, saying, "That's right. Especially in front of us. I hated that so much," and Bae Jong-ok lamented, "I also hated that so much that I really didn't want to go to the broadcasting station unless it was for work."
Byeon Jeong-soo also recalled her feelings at the time, saying, "I thought, 'Do I have to hear that?'" Upon hearing the story, Yoon Hyun-sook exclaimed, "If that happened these days, it would be sexual harassment."
Then Byeon Jeong-soo said, "It's the Me Too movement," and Bae Jong-ok echoed, "That's the Me Too movement." He questioned, "Why was the culture like that back then?" and Byeon Jeong-soo remarked, "It seems the culture was like that. It seems they thought it was okay to talk like that to appear strong." In response, Bae Jong-ok revealed, "They openly made vulgar comments. So the fantasy was shattered a bit."
