'Real-life investigation team' covers a death case in a fishing village.
In 2017, the late Ko Kwang-soo moved to a small seaside village in Muan, Jeollanam-do, to spend his retirement. Despite being over seventy, he was able to settle down in a foreign land thanks to a native neighbor from Muan, Jeollanam-do. However, due to a close neighbor, Mr. Ko lost his precious life.
The incident occurred last October when Mr. Ko went to visit a neighbor's house and a dispute arose. The neighbor's son, known by the pseudonym Park Chan-hee, then a middle school student, was wandering around Mr. Ko's vicinity for some time before entering a storage room and emerging again while wearing 'work gloves.' Park (pseudonym) then charged at Mr. Ko, striking him in the face, which resulted in Mr. Ko suffering a skull fracture and ultimately led to his death four days later.
However, six months after the incident, the assailant, Park (pseudonym), continues to lead a normal life by entering high school, which has caused the bereaved family to express their outrage. How is this even possible? The reason is that the assailant is not in custody. Currently, the case has been transferred to the prosecution as of April 10. Nevertheless, the assailant remains at large.
Despite clear CCTV evidence and the shocking nature of the incident in which the victim lost his life, why has Park (pseudonym) been able to live a normal life without any repercussions? Furthermore, the bereaved family lives in constant fear knowing that the assailant lives next door... Tonight (24th) at night, MBC's 'Real-life investigation team' will trace the truth behind the assault death case in Muan, Jeollanam-do.
