"Big Deal" Choi Young-jun's inability to go on a honeymoon has been revealed.
On the morning of the 24th, a production report for the film "Big Deal" was held at Seoul's Megabox Coex. Attending the event were lead actors Yoo Hae-jin, Lee Je-hoon, Son Hyun-joo, and Choi Young-jun.
"Big Deal" (distributed by SHOWBOX, produced by The Lamp) is a story that unfolds during the 1997 IMF financial crisis, focusing on Jong-rok (played by Yoo Hae-jin), a financial director whose life revolves around a soju company, and In-beom (played by Lee Je-hoon), an employee of a global investment firm pursuing only revenue, as they battle for the destiny of soju for the South Korean people.
Choi Young-jun passionately portrayed lawyer Koo Young-mo, who is responsible for crisis management at KUKBO Group, in the film.
That day, Choi Young-jun introduced his character, and at that moment, Son Hyun-joo noted, "(Mr. Choi Young-jun) got married last year, so he is currently on his honeymoon."
Earlier, Choi Young-jun held a wedding ceremony with his long-time non-celebrity bride on Oct. 20 last year in an undisclosed location in Seoul.
At the time, Choi Young-jun's agency Ace Factory stated, "Actor Choi Young-jun is getting married to his long-time lover on Oct. 20. The ceremony will be held privately in an undisclosed location in Seoul," adding, "We would appreciate warm congratulations on Actor Choi Young-jun's marriage news."
Son Hyun-joo said, "He got married last year and is currently on his honeymoon," while Lee Je-hoon mentioned, "He said he hasn't been able to go on the honeymoon yet but plans to go soon." Yoo Hae-jin joked, "I heard he's going to Europe for his honeymoon," bringing laughter as Choi Young-jun reacted with a hearty laugh at his colleagues' honeymoon tease.
Meanwhile, "Big Deal" is set to be released on June 3.
