Shim Jin-hwa revealed that she experienced a divorce crisis four years ago.
In the episode aired on the 22nd of SBS 'Shoe Off and Divorce Man' (hereafter Divorce Man), comedian couple 7, Shim Jin-hwa♥Kim Won-hyo, and couple 13, Hong Yoon-hwa♥Kim Min-ki, appeared.
Dubbed the 'queen of home shopping,' Shim Jin-hwa said, "My husband's income was flipped over like a pancake. We've been together for 14 years, but in the first five years, I didn't earn a single won. During the last nine years, I've been okay," and added, "After I told him, 'Do everything you want to do, Won-hyo,' he actually did whatever he wanted. He started releasing albums and even made six costumes for the stage. He shot a music video that was extravagant. The money I earned from home shopping was truly hard-earned," revealing her frustrations.
Kim Won-hyo confidently stated, "I still receive 50,000 won in music revenue," and Shim Jin-hwa added, "Heaven sent him away saying, 'Why don't you try dying once?" causing laughter.
Lee Sang-min asked, "Have you ever wanted a divorce?" and Shim Jin-hwa replied, "I have. Kim Won-hyo secretly lost a lot of money. Honestly, I swear to heaven, it wasn't because he lost money, but it was shocking to know he could do such things behind my back. It was truly a divorce situation; however, I was never unhappy for 10 years. I thought I should endure this at least once. I never mentioned it for the past four years."
She continued, "I can't forget the expression on his face when he got caught. How much distress must he have gone through alone? He should have just told me earlier," as she welled up with tears.
