JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) boy group NEXZ delivered a strong impact with a chic remark, "OH REALLY?"
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, Sokeon, Seita, Huey, Yuki) will release their second mini album "O-RLY?" on the 28th and make a comeback. Following the reveal of the second group and individual teaser images on the 21st, JYP posted a concept film expressing this in video form on their official social media channels in the afternoon of the 22nd.
In this video, the seven members are situated in a space where various forms of stories unfold. The camera captures Tomoya reading a disheveled newspaper, Haru and Yuki exchanging messages on their phones, Yuu and Sokeon exchanging glances, Seita tilting his head towards a receiver, and Huey intently looking at his phone screen with earbuds in. It also captures the members as they engage in conversation with grand gestures, hand movements, and dynamic expressions while numerous stories rush by in the newspaper as if time had stopped. The process of sharing stories fills the space with various emotions such as curiosity, empathy, and surprise.
This concept film, showcasing sophisticated screen composition and cinematography, added interjections like "Really?" and "No way" to parts of the title track "O-RLY?" previously revealed in the highlight medley, arousing interest. The final scene, where member Yuu asks the camera, "OH REALLY?", leaves a clear impression and heightens anticipation for the full song.
NEXZ held a "Comeback D-7" live session on their official YouTube channel at 8 p.m. on the 21st to connect with fans. They shared their thoughts while watching the teaser content for the new album that has been released and expressed their excitement about their first comeback in 2025 by discussing their favorite b-side tracks and the reasons behind their choices.
NEXZ's second mini album "O-RLY?" will be officially released at 6 p.m. on the 28th, and on the same day at 8 p.m., a live global broadcast of "NEXZ COMEBACK SHOW O-RLY?" will air on Mnet and M2's YouTube channel. They will showcase the title track "O-RLY?" along with the pre-released track "Simmer" and more, aiming to amplify their activities.
