The time-traveling Siu-min has returned to Joseon.
On the 21st and 22nd, episodes 9 and 10 of the WYNAT Media drama "Heo's Diner" (directed by Oh Hwan-min and Kim Kyung-eun, written by Sung So-hyun) depicted the final story of Heo-kyun (played by Siu-min), who crash-landed in the modern era.
On that day, Heo-kyun became confused as memories from Joseon vividly came to mind during a conversation with Detective Kang (played by Oh Ji-ho). He expressed his desire to return to Joseon but hesitated to take a step due to concerns that Eun-sil (played by Chu So-jung) might be harmed by Lee-hyuk (played by Lee Se-on). His worry about Eun-sil as he lingered near the diner touched the hearts of viewers.
Later, Heo-kyun shocked everyone by uncovering the truth behind the accident involving Eun-sil-mo (played by Kim Hee-jung). Upon realizing that Lee-hyuk was the one behind the incident, he exploded with the anger he had been suppressing, creating tension between the two men.
Meanwhile, Eun-sil, having learned that her mother was in critical condition, decided to sell the diner and drafted a contract under Lee-hyuk's leadership. However, as she observed the unusual behavior of Lee-hyuk and Detective Kang, she began to suspect that he might be the perpetrator who intended to harm her mother.
To make matters worse, Eun-sil discovered that Detective Kang was Lee-hyuk's accomplice. Realizing that everything Heo-kyun had told her was true, she became convinced that Lee-hyuk was responsible for what had happened to her mother. After watching the CCTV footage provided by Detective Kang, Eun-sil sought out Heo-kyun to apologize for her misunderstanding.
Heo-kyun, feeling guilty towards Eun-sil, firmly resolved to ensure that Lee-hyuk would pay for his crimes and proposed a cooking showdown to push him out of his position as head chef. Heo-kyun, with his improved cooking skills, outshined Lee-hyuk and successfully lured him to the accident scene to secure crucial evidence. Lee-hyuk was ultimately arrested on charges of attempted murder of Eun-sil-mo, providing a satisfying resolution.
Meanwhile, Heo-kyun vanished without a trace after meeting Lee-hyuk. He chose to return to the Joseon era. Despite having seen the historical records indicating that he was executed, he couldn't ignore his friends who were on the verge of being wrongfully executed due to the charge of treason. While Eun-sil missed Heo-kyun, she continued to run "Heo's Diner" with her mother, and the story of the two who traversed between Joseon and modern times left a deep lingering impact until the very end.
"Heo's Diner" masterfully blended humor, fun, and thrilling tension, marking the birth of a time-traveling romantic comedy. "Heo's Diner" was jointly planned by WYNAT Media and Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures and Corpus Japan, produced by The Great Show, with all episodes available on Netflix, Wavve, Watcha, and Tving.
