Actor Kim Gi-bang's wife, Kim Hee-kyung, revealed that there is a problem with their son's eyes.
Kim Hee-kyung shared a lengthy post on her social media on the 21st, stating, "I think there will be a lot of people who are worried and curious, so I'm leaving a review after visiting a university hospital."
She continued, "I was able to find a hospital that accepts ophthalmology appointments faster than I expected. Famous hospitals are fine, but sometimes it takes up to 2 or 3 years to wait. Any university hospital in our country has competent doctors who provide good care, and my husband and I felt that the longer time went by, the more anxious we became, and all we wanted was to visit the hospital as soon as possible for a consultation."
She explained, "Even though we had an appointment, we had to wait a bit longer because the surgeon's surgery time was delayed. While waiting, I had another eye examination, and even though I had done it once, I was able to focus on the green target for a long time. During the consultation, there was quite a difference in vision between both eyes, and the results almost matched those from the eyesight test I did at the first ophthalmology clinic we visited. They looked at one eye separately several times, and their determination was,..."
In the end, there was strabismus. Kim Hee-kyung said, "In the end, my vision seems to be poor, resulting in the eyes shifting separately to the right and left (a phenomenon of strabismus), and they advised that I should wear glasses first and see if the strabismus persists. We will wait to decide on surgery depending on the situation... And we'll come back for an examination in a month! I don't know what the results will be in a month, but I feel a bit relieved.... After stopping by the hospital, I first went to the eyeglass store to choose glasses. If it can be corrected with glasses, that would be wonderful. If anyone is curious about university hospitals or the surgeons, please comment. I heard that online reservations are also possible. Thank you once again to those who have genuinely worried about me as if it were their own business."
Meanwhile, Kim Gi-bang and Kim Hee-kyung, who married in 2017, welcomed their son in December 2020.
