Singer Solbi revealed that she attempted to end her life after experiencing a theft of 200 million won linked to a fake erotic video.
On the 21st, during an episode of Channel A's "Best Friends Documentary – The Four-Person Dining Table" (hereafter referred to as Four-Person Dining Table), Solbi, who is active as both a singer and a painter, invited her close friends Shin Hwa's Lee Min-woo, Brian, and Kwon Hyuk-soo.
Recalling a time when she was going through a slump, Solbi said, "There were rumors about a fake video, and I personally went through a lot. My mother also fell ill and went to the hospital. On top of that, a thief broke into my house. It was like a movie; the place was completely ransacked. In total, about 200 million won worth of watches and jewelry were taken," surprising everyone.
Solbi stated, "It was all difficult. After being hit by a thief, I felt a loss of value in my existence. I wondered if I was needed in this world. I thought about what it would be like to end my life; don't you have such thoughts? How could I turn my back on it? So, I climbed Jirisan alone."
She continued, "I guess I wanted to somehow overcome the painful time. I cried alone and rested alone as I went. When I reached the top and looked around, suddenly I heard a voice. 'You are not yet meant to go. Give your talents to those suffering like you now.' I kept hearing that message," she recalled.
She mentioned, "From that moment, my eyes suddenly opened clearly, and I began to see vividly. I was cherished. I started to paint" to overcome her pain.
