The couple Park Seung-hee♥Eom Jun-tae, who recently joined SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny' (hereinafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'), maintained the No. 1 spot in the '2049 ratings' for Monday entertainment programs.
In the episode of 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' aired on the 21st, it recorded a '2049 rating' of 1.8%, ranking first among entertainment programs in the same time slot and out of all entertainment programs aired that day, with a peak rating of 5.3%.
In their fifth year of marriage, Park Seung-hee♥Eom Jun-tae attracted attention with a real-life version of the Aesoon-Guansik couple from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.' Park Seung-hee, a former national skating representative and current star of SBS's flagship entertainment program 'Gol Dae-Rin Geu Nyeo,' said, "I confessed first. I was waiting too long, which was frustrating," and added, "My husband is similar to Guansik from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'"
Eom Jun-tae, Park Seung-hee's husband, is a self-made CEO of a famous bag brand, presenting a lifestyle that is the opposite of Park Seung-hee's, which sparked curiosity. He took care of all household chores, from cleaning to washing dishes, and also shared the responsibility for their 26-month-old daughter's upbringing. The couple's conflict erupted unexpectedly. Eom Jun-tae repeatedly told Park Seung-hee, "Since I washed the car, the windows might leave stains if you roll them down. Don't roll them down," but Park Seung-hee forgot and rolled the window down. Frustrated, Eom Jun-tae exploded and started sighing, while Park Seung-hee expressed, "I'm really sorry for forgetting, but why do you have to yell like that?"
Park Seung-hee noted in an interview that due to their marriage just four months in and the subsequent pregnancy, there was no time to adjust to each other. She remarked, "We bumped heads a lot due to personality differences, and there were many challenging aspects while raising the child," adding, "I thought, 'No matter how much I try, I can't change this,' and if we can't resolve it, we might consider divorce."
In response, Eom Jun-tae said, "I didn't know it was hard enough to think about divorce. When I later realized that I was considering custody of our daughter, I thought, 'It must have been that hard,'" adding, "I realized that my unconsciously careless actions towards the person I love might have struck like arrows." He continued, "I think I might have demanded my wife to adopt my habit of tidying up right away because it makes me feel at ease. I feel like I've made things difficult out of my own greed," and apologized to Park Seung-hee.
