Subin of the group WJSN will take the stage in the musical 'Burn the Witch.'
According to the agency Starship Entertainment, Subin will join the cast as 'Love' in the musical 'Burn the Witch,' which opens on July 8 at the Hongik University Daehak-ro Arts Center.
The musical 'Burn the Witch' is a black comedy depicting the journey of top star 'Love' becoming a witch through the theme of 'witch hunt,' which begins with accusations against someone, crafted by writer Sung Jae-hyun, who has showcased a diverse spectrum of works. It is an immersive performance with a DJ on stage, allowing the audience to laugh, feel anger, and enjoy through various stage elements, prompting them to reflect on whether they are still criticizing and hating someone.
Subin will take on the role of top star 'Love,' who receives attention and love from the public but also faces their attacks, showcasing overwhelming emotional acting and powerful singing.
In July 2023, Subin made a successful musical debut with 'Aloha, My Mothers' and solidified her standing as a musical actress by perfectly embodying the role of 'Natasha' in the musical 'The Great Comet' with delicate acting and expression, as well as excellent vocal ability. It is expected that in this musical 'Burn the Witch,' audiences will experience Subin's unique portrayal of 'Love' through even more diverse performances.
Through her agency, Subin said, "I am very honored to be able to participate in a good production as a musical actress once again. 'Love' is a character very different from the roles I have taken on so far, so I think you will see a different side of me, and I am preparing with a heart full of excitement and nervousness, so I ask for your great expectations and support."
Meanwhile, the musical 'Burn the Witch,' featuring Subin, will be held on July 8 at the Hongik University Daehak-ro Arts Center, and more details can be found on the social media of the production company Romantic Barricade.
