The band Dickpunks (DPNS) opens its new EP series.
Dickpunks (Kim Tae-hyun, Kim Jae-heung, Kim Hyun-woo, Park Ga-ram) will release the first track 'Light Up' from the EP series 'Spectra: RGB' on the 24th.
On the 21st, Dickpunks unveiled the first teaser video for the new single 'Light Up' through its official social media channels. The released video, set against the backdrop of the city's night, enhances expectations for the new song with its artistic visuals and upbeat sounds.
'Light Up,' which opens the EP series, starts with a synthesizer signal, featuring thundering drums and a BASS that showcases various expressions as if singing, lively colors and rhythms from the keyboards, funky textures added by guitars, and vocals radiating refreshing energy.
This song was enhanced in quality through collaboration with Hansem, who served as a producer on dramas 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' 'The Man from Nowhere,' and 'Itaewon Class.' The music video features Jeong Na-young, guitarist of the band The Fix, and Yun Dong-hyun, who has been involved as a visualization director in dramas 'Anpirella,' 'Lee Jae, Soon to Die,' and 'Our School Now.'
The EP series 'Spectra: RGB' is an album that captures the diverse musical spectrum and deepened emotions of Dickpunks through various variations that transcend the boundaries of genre and style. Each track will be released sequentially in a three-part format to heighten immersion.
Coming back about 5 months after releasing 'First Love, This Song' in November, Dickpunks is a four-member band from South Korea consisting of Kim Tae-hyun (vocals), Kim Hyun-woo (piano), Kim Jae-heung (BASS), and Park Ga-ram (drums). With hit songs such as 'Viva Youth,' 'Hello Girlfriend,' 'When You Go to the Pharmacy,' and 'Shall We Walk Together,' expectations from fans are growing for the new musical journey that Dickpunks will unfold.
Meanwhile, Dickpunks' first track 'Light Up' from the EP series will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 24th.
