Singer Park Ki-young will release a digital single 'Loveholic' with Yoon Machi.
Known as the nostalgic acorn pillage song from Cyworld, 'Loveholic' is a song by the eponymous mixed group Loveholic from 2003. It is a rock sound that stands out with its catchy chorus contrasting the lyrical and sad lyrics with a bright melody.
In 2004, it won the Grand Prize at the 1st Korean Music Awards and has been loved as background music for various dramas and entertainment.
Recently, it was featured in the popular drama 'Sonjae Upgo Twire,' and Byun Woo-seok drew attention by singing this song at a fan meeting. Additionally, it has been proven to be a masterpiece through performances by various artists, including Day6 on 'The Seasons - Lee Hyori's Red Carpet.'
Park Ki-young, who is breaking into various genres like jazz, rock, and musical theater, noted that 'Loveholic' is a 'refreshing song that fits a festival' while expressing her thoughts on the remake.
Furthermore, she shared, 'It was a song I cherished and wanted to sing again, and collaborating with junior Yoon Machi allowed me to reinterpret it in a new way,' adding, 'You will be able to feel a different charm from the original.'
Yoon Machi is a singer-songwriter from Yonsei University's composition program who gained attention for appearing as 'Yeondae Boa' on 'K-pop Star 5' in 2018.
Meanwhile, the digital single 'Loveholic' by Park Ki-young & Yoon Machi will be released on the 30th at 6 p.m. through various online music sites.
