Singer Chuu offers warm comfort to youth.
Chuu will release her third mini album "Only cry in the rain" today (21st) at 6 p.m. through various online music sites and will begin full-scale activities.
This album is her first release in approximately 10 months since the second mini album "Strawberry Rush," released last June. The album, which depicts a journey of facing the invisible entities of "memory" and "emotion," reflects on forgotten feelings and expresses that these feelings are part of what defines the current self, showcasing Chuu's lyrical inner self and her more matured musical world.
Including the title track "Only cry in the rain," this album includes a total of five tracks: "Back in Town," "Kiss a Kitty," "Je t'aime," and "No More." The album is expected to solidify her position as a solo artist through various genre attempts and Chuu's unique emotional vocals.
In particular, the title track "Only cry in the rain" delivers the message that "it's okay to be honest about emotions, at least on rainy days," offering warm comfort and courage to youth. The new wave-based dreamy synth-pop sound harmonizes with Chuu's emotional vocals, imbued with a melancholic sentiment amid the lively rhythm, enhancing her distinctive identity.
Ahead of her comeback, Chuu held a private listening session at Movie Land in Seongsu-dong from the 19th to today (21st). This listening session, designed to allow listeners to experience the album concept in a three-dimensional way, featured a space reminiscent of the music video's mood board, providing fans with a special time and heightening their anticipation for the album.
