The group TRENDZ has revealed the title of their new album, "Chameleon," hinting at a dazzling transformation.
The agency Global H Media stated on the 21st that "TRENDZ will release their fifth single album 'Chameleon' at noon on May 1 through various music streaming sites." This marks their comeback approximately one year after the release of 'DREAMLIKE' in June of last year, with various content including concept photos and behind-the-scenes videos to be released sequentially, heightening anticipation.
"Chameleon" is an album that encapsulates TRENDZ's diverse musical colors and new challenges, indicating another change for the group. In this album, TRENDZ aims to showcase a flexible yet vivid presence like a chameleon, delivering deeper music and performances to meet with fans. Notably, members participated directly in the choreography, songwriting, and composing, fully incorporating TRENDZ's uniqueness and abilities throughout the album.
The title track "Chameleon" is a pop genre song utilizing break beats, blending various genre elements like a chameleon that changes color based on body temperature and mood, providing a colorful charm. The lyrics creatively convey the ever-changing image of TRENDZ.
The included tracks also distinctly embody TRENDZ's colors. The first track "RPZ" features Jo Han-guk, Rael, and Jeong Ye-chan participating as the unit "RAPPERS (RPZ)," blending their unique characters and identities. The last track "Ddu Ddu" is a fan song featuring a cute confession to the fandom "FRIENDZ," showcasing TRENDZ's warm sincerity.
The album began pre-sale on the 17th, with steady inquiries for pre-orders from international fans. It captures TRENDZ's charm in various versions such as the regular edition and POCAALBUM.
Along with this comeback, TRENDZ will embark on their second European tour, the "TRENDZ GLOW Tour in Europe." Starting from Almaty, Kazakhstan, they plan to meet local fans in a total of 13 European cities including Tbilisi, Georgia; Athens, Greece; Bucharest, Romania; Sofia, Bulgaria; London, England; Brussels, Belgium; Paris, France; Warsaw, Poland; Budapest, Hungary; Lisbon, Portugal; Milan, Italy; and Geneva, Switzerland.
