In the 9th episode of the Why Not Media drama 'Heo's Diner' (directed by Oh Hwan-min and Kim Kyung-eun, written by Seong So-hyun), Heo Kyun (played by Siwoo-min) engages in a relentless standoff against the shadow chef, Lee Hyuk (played by Lee Se-on).
Previously, Heo Kyun was expelled from 'Heo's Diner' due to Lee Hyuk's accusation that he had intentionally approached Bong Eun-sil (played by Chu So-jeong) to take over her restaurant. He desperately struggled to uncover Lee Hyuk's malicious acts, but Eun-sil did not believe him, adding to his frustration.
In the meantime, in the 9th episode, the truth behind the Eun-sil's mother (played by Kim Hee-jeong) incident begins to slowly unfold. The released stills capture the tense nerve battle between the two opposing men.
Eun-sil's mother's first witness, Heo Kyun, realizes too late that the sound he heard at the scene while adapting to modern civilization was Lee Hyuk's cellphone notification tone. He raises the possibility that it may not have been a simple accident and, enraged with Lee Hyuk's mocking attitude towards Eun-sil, storms into his office. Heo Kyun, who used to affectionately call Lee Hyuk, who resembles his friend Lee I-cheom (played by Lee Se-on), 'brother,' now presents a different side of himself, creating a high-tension atmosphere.
In the end, Lee Hyuk is taken aback by Heo Kyun's unexpected actions. What could Heo Kyun have said that made Lee Hyuk, who usually remains unshaken by anything, uneasy? Curiosity rises as they are unable to take their eyes off each other during their meeting.
Meanwhile, Heo Kyun's figure was captured as he gazed at Eun-sil from a distance at 'Heo's Diner.' His eyes, peering into the restaurant, were filled with regret and sorrow. Eun-sil also felt a sense of bitterness over Heo Kyun's absence, lost in thought. Attention is drawn to what decision Eun-sil made regarding 'Heo's Diner' as the main story unfolds.
