Jin, a member of the group BTS, made a surprise appearance at Coldplay's second concert in South Korea.
On the 19th, at the Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, Jin from BTS appeared as a surprise guest during the third performance of Coldplay's concert 'Music of the Spheres World Tour.'
During the concert, in the songbook corner where the audience is invited to the stage to sing recommended songs, Jin made a surprise appearance by holding a sketchbook in the floor seats and then coming up on stage. The audience erupted in cheers at Jin's appearance, and he collaborated by singing 'The Astronaut' in harmony with vocals from Coldplay's Chris Martin.
'The Astronaut' is Jin's solo single released in October 2022, with Martin participating in its composition, lyrics, and performance. Jin emphasized the significance of their connection by stating, 'My last concert before going to the military two years ago was Coldplay's. And my first concert after returning from service is also Coldplay.'
Jin previously participated as a special guest at Coldplay's concert held at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October 2022. It was the first time the two met again after 2 years and 6 months to share the microphone.
Alongside this, Jin and Martin passionately performed 'My Universe,' a collaboration between Coldplay and BTS. The two greeted the audience while holding hands and displayed affectionate gestures, including a kiss.
Martin expressed his affection not only during the third performance but also mentioned BTS in the earlier first and second performances. He called out the names of the members individually, and during the 'My Universe' stage, BTS appeared on screen.
After his performance, Jin shared concert photos on personal social media, adding 'happy♡' to express his feelings toward Coldplay. He also greeted Martin with 'Annyeonghaseyo,' showing affection for this concert.
Meanwhile, Coldplay is conducting a total of six concerts in South Korea, starting from the 16th, and continuing on the 18th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, and 25th.
