In Channel A's reality-based detective drama 'The Detectives' Secrets,' Defconn, Yoo In-na, and Kim Poong are 'overwhelmed' by a client's story seeking to find their mother, who they were separated from during childhood.
In the episode airing on the 21st (Monday), the 'Baekho Detective Team' arrives with a heartrending 'tear reservation' story, stating, 'You should prepare some tissues.' The client shared that their mother, who they were separated from over 40 years ago, took on the role of breadwinner after their father repeatedly went in and out of prison for assault, leading to the family's decline.
However, one day, their mother became a suspect of infidelity after being seen leaving an inn with a food tray. Ultimately, she was expelled by the client's maternal grandmother. When the client returned home, their mother was already gone, and the grandmother told them that their mother 'left the house for a man.' After being released from prison, the father returned home, depressed, and spent each day drinking. One day, while intoxicated, he threatened the client, who was then 6 years old, and their 4-year-old sister, saying, 'Let's die together.'
That night, the sister disappeared, and all the villagers began to search for her. However, she returned as a cold corpse, and the client had to witness their father being taken away by the police. It was revealed that the father had intended to die after sending the sister away.
Defconn expressed sorrow, saying, 'This is not a drama story; it's reality, so it's really scary...Is this even possible?' upon hearing the client's heartbreaking childhood tale. Yoo In-na felt the same and was also moved to tears. Meanwhile, the client had already attempted to find their mother over 20 years ago but had no choice but to give up. The reasons behind the client's decision to stop searching for their mother, as well as what happened afterward, can be confirmed in the episode of 'The Detectives' Secrets' airing at 9:30 p.m. on the 21st (Monday).
