The band Dragon Pony has sung about youth, drawing rave reviews from senior bands.
Dragon Pony (Ahn Tae-kyu, Pyeon Seong-hyeon, Kwon Se-hyeok, Ko Kang-hoon) made their debut appearance on KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs' featuring artists Kim Hyun-chul, Yoon Sang, and Lee Hyun-woo on the 19th and earned a win with a vibrant band performance.
On this day, Dragon Pony, who appeared on 'Immortal Songs' for the first time, said, "We will show you a wonderful stage we prepared with the spirit of having fun. We worked hard on the arrangement. I hope we will be recognized if we give our best effort."
They also prepared a logo song for 'Immortal Songs.' With lyrics like "There is a legend that has been passed down / There are timeless masterpieces / 'Immortal Songs' that color Saturday nights," along with a sing-along segment with the cast, they created a warm atmosphere.
In the following main stage, Dragon Pony chose Hwang Chi-hoon's 'You in My Memories.' It began with Ahn Tae-kyu's soft vocals, soon layered with Dragon Pony's explosive band sound. The four members unleashed a dynamic band sound that captured the zest of youth, condensed with intense energy and a sprinkle of lyrical beauty, creating a dramatic arrangement that gradually heightened the emotional density, making it impossible to take one's eyes off until the end.
The original creator Yoon Sang noted, "I was surprised that this song could rock so much," while Kim Hyun-chul also praised, "I have worked with Dragon Pony on music before, and I think they will become a representative band of our country." Praise from senior bands continued. Koh Young Technology's Ko Young-bae said, "They are doing so well," and N.Flying's Yoo Hwe-seung remarked, "I felt the taste of a perfect band."
Dragon Pony delivered a message of hope and support to modern youth who constantly challenge their dreams through their second EP 'Not Out', receiving great responses. Furthermore, with all seats sold out, Dragon Pony will hold solo concerts in Seoul on May 3-4 and in Taipei on May 23-24. They are also set to participate in the '2025 Busan One Asia Festival' on June 12 and the 'Beautiful Mint Life 2025' on June 14, continuing to shine as the 'top rookie of the K-band scene.'
