Singer Ailee is set to marry businessman Choi Si-hoon, who is also an actor, today (20th).
Ailee and Choi Si-hoon will hold their wedding ceremony this afternoon in a location in Seoul after dating for about a year.
Previously, Ailee revealed in March of last year that she was dating a non-celebrity boyfriend with the premise of marriage. It later garnered attention that Ailee's partner is Choi Si-hoon, who gained recognition for appearing in the Netflix original variety show 'Solo Hell'.
The two met through an introduction by a mutual acquaintance and have been in a romantic relationship for about a year now, with a deep affection and trust, reportedly promising to marry in May of last year.
Choi Si-hoon began his career in 2019, taking part in shows like 'I Started Following Romance' and 'Standby, Cue!'. Since then, he has appeared in works such as 'Cafe Kilimanjaro' and 'Redo Romance', showcasing his acting talent, and he is currently focused on the F&B business and Multi-Channel Network (MCN) business.
Notably, the two revealed that they were living together even before their wedding, and it also came to light that they had already registered their marriage in August of last year, making them legally married.
Ailee and Choi Si-hoon drew attention by sharing their love story and newlywed home through their YouTube channel.
At the time of the marriage announcement, Ailee expressed her affection for Choi Si-hoon, saying, "Princess Yejin has always taken care of someone and sacrificed herself. I have met someone who has made me feel supported and grateful by opening his shoulder to rely on, and I thought I wanted to be with him for a lifetime due to his understanding and consideration."
Choi Si-hoon also noted, "A year ago, I fell in love with Princess Yejin after seeing her perform on stage, and as we shared our life stories, I fell for her again on a human level and felt that I want to protect her for a lifetime" and added, "I will start as an insufficient husband but will make her happy and fill in my shortcomings. I will make sure that Princess Yejin, who says I am the funniest in a world where I find myself boring, will have a life filled with laughter."
Meanwhile, on this day, in addition to Ailee and Choi Si-hoon, Koyote's Kim Jong-min and Shim Hyun-seop will also hold their weddings.
