Actor Ju Yong-man revealed why he suddenly retired at the peak of his career while enjoying success with the drama 'General Hospital'.

On that day, Ju Yong-man gained great popularity by playing the role of doctor Kang Dae-jong in the drama 'General Hospital,' but he candidly confessed the reasons for his retirement at the peak of his career.
He said, 'I became well-known through the drama 'General Hospital' on MBC. It was a really unique character. I think viewers felt a lot of sympathy and compassion for me. It seems they were affectionate towards someone who is a little lacking rather than a successful person,' adding, 'After just four episodes of 'General Hospital,' 4 to 5 commercials came in.'
Ju Yong-man noted, 'At that time, I made some money. I shot a wide variety of commercials including pharmaceutical ones, food commercials, and hamburger commercials,' and revealed that he filmed over 20 advertisements due to the popularity of the drama.
However, the successful Ju Yong-man abruptly stopped his activities. He explained, 'While I was filming, I was eating in a restaurant, and a baby next to me started crying. At that moment, I really missed my child. I wanted to go back to Seoul quickly to see my child, but the filming kept getting delayed. As it got delayed, the stress piled up.'
He continued, 'I went up to Seoul and cried while venting to my wife. I said I would take care of providing for the family, so I would stop broadcasting. After that, I stopped appearing on shows,' adding, 'It was really because of my daughter. Since then, I've had an amazing 30 years with my daughter. She has already turned 30 and just graduated from law school.'
Ju Yong-man emphasized, 'I still think about what it would have been like if I had continued broadcasting at that time, but I have no regrets. Having had 30 years of good memories with my daughter is such a precious time. I would make the same choice again.'
Having left the entertainment industry for his daughter, he is now preparing to return as an actor. Ju Yong-man stated, 'It's normal to be forgotten, but I'm so grateful. I'm returning to broadcasting after 25 years. I plan to do it with a feeling of being reborn.'
