The reappearance of actor Kim Jung-min was portrayed alongside the arrival of new MCs on 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi'.
On the 19th, MBN's 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi' (hereafter 'Dongchimi'), which marked its 30th anniversary, featured the appearance of three MCs: Kim Yong-man, Lee Hyun-yi, and singer Enok.
Kim Yong-man said, "Dongchimi is a representative long-running program of MBN that started in 2012, now in its 13th year. We have become new MCs." Lee Hyun-yi noted, "There was a lot of commotion around me, as if I had gotten a job at a big company. I will be an MC who resonates with viewers and is together with them" while delivering a witty greeting.
Singer Enok was particularly nervous. Although he had stood on countless stages, this was his first time as an MC. However, Enok gracefully performed a famous number from the musical 'Jekyll and Hyde,' singing it with the lyrics "Please allow me to be an MC".
As glamorous as the MCs' entrance was, the revamped panel and guests were splendid as well. From Lee Kwang-min, who has recently risen to fame as a psychiatrist, to the original talk show host, pop columnist Kim Tae-hoon, actress Kim Hyun-sook, veteran actor Kim Young-ok, and the long-awaited return of actress Kim Jung-min, all were depicted.
They discussed whether it was possible to sever ties between parents and children.
Kim Hyun-sook said, "My biological mother and father divorced when I was in the fifth grade. Thinking back to my childhood, it was very dark and full of fear. Back then, fathers were often involved in vices. I once sent a letter to my father expressing how I felt on Parents' Day during elementary school." She added, "I still remember the response I received from my father. He asked me where I was mocking him. He said, 'Let's meet after you get off work today.' For me, that waiting time felt like over ten years. Just hearing the sound of cars outside made me nervous. It felt like I was having a panic attack."
Following the divorce of Kim Hyun-sook's parents, she took a firm stance, saying, "That's why it's better to separate quickly than to have an unhappy marriage."
From the 'flower snake controversy' to a 1 billion won lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, Kim Jung-min showcased her continued vocal abilities and eloquence. She cautiously mentioned, "I had a similar experience. My father was not a healthy man who built a family. He was a terrifying father who would drink and open the door at home. I wrote a letter to the judge," revealing that she became estranged from her father afterwards.
Kim Jung-min said, "But when he passed away, I did receive contact. When we met again after being estranged, he had already passed. I received the death notice late, and the mourning was already over, so I couldn't see him one last time. That's how our separation occurred," adding, "Even if I sever ties with my parents, it seems like I can't completely cut the bond."
Kim Jung-min subsequently revealed that despite her lawsuit with her ex-boyfriend, which had become a topic of controversy in 2017, concluding without issues, she had already been stigmatized and had to take a break from her broadcasting work. Adding to her troubles, her mother also fell ill, and Kim Jung-min wept, wondering, "What if those big incidents had come at different times?"
Her step-siblings lifted Kim Jung-min's spirits. She stated, "However, I am grateful that my new siblings, including my father, have become closer than before. My younger brothers don't say much, but their words, 'Sister, those hateful comments are all garbage. They will end soon,' have been a great comfort to me."
