In "Jun Hyun-moo Plan 2," Kim Dae-ho joined as a free "food friend," captivating viewers with a "true friend vibe" alongside Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube.
The 26th episode of the full-fledged real street food documentary "Jun Hyun-moo Plan 2" (co-produced by MBN and Channel S), aired on the 18th (Friday), displayed a lively food trip featuring Jun Hyun-moo, Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin), and Kim Dae-ho in "Taste Town" Gwangju. They began with the best place for matdol kongmul, which had swept the "SNS short form," and then explored various culinary delights, including a "market hongeo omakase" from the "Kim Dae-ho Plan," a spicy stew restaurant where "mapbushim" (map pride) competition erupted, and Gwangju's premium healing food, "raw meat," providing rich taste information and relaxation.
That day, Jun Hyun-moo, who arrived in Gwangju, showed a video of a matdol kongmul restaurant he discovered on SNS and led Kwak Tube to the place. The restaurant has been serving matdol kongmul for 55 years under the principle of 100% "no additives" with an 89-year-old owner. After tasting the smooth kongmul, which resembled pudding, Jun Hyun-moo exclaimed, "It's the smoothest kongmul I've ever had," and Kwak Tube even ordered takeout after unlimited consumption. Suddenly, "food friend" Kim Dae-ho burst in, bringing great laughter with his enthusiastic appetite as he gulped down the kongmul.
After their cheerful meeting, the three headed to a "100-year tradition" market to eat hongeo, known for fermented food, as per the "Kim Dae-ho Plan." At this point, Jun Hyun-moo expressed his "hongeo trauma," while Kwak Tube reacted dramatically, saying, "I've been singing about eating hongeo for a year while doing the 'Jun Hyun-moo Plan.'" Soon after, they enjoyed the exquisite taste of hongeo at a "hongeo omakase," where they could taste from "hongeo ae" (hongeo liver) to three stages of fermented hongeo. Notably, unlike his initial nervousness, Jun Hyun-moo relished the "hongeo samhap" and expressed gratitude by saying, "Thanks to Dae-ho, my culinary horizons have expanded."
After successfully completing the hongeo eating segment, Jun Hyun-moo brought along "mapbushim" Kim Dae-ho and "mapjil-i" Kwak Tube to a famous pig stew restaurant, known as the "mapbushim shrine" for MZ (Millennial and Generation Z) individuals. Upon encountering the bright red pig stew, Jun Hyun-moo and Kim Dae-ho exclaimed, "It's not just spicy, it's delicious," releasing endorphins. Kim Dae-ho likened his feeling to receiving the contract fee from his agency, saying, "It's unbelievable." As contract talk came up, Jun Hyun-moo shared, "As soon as the article about Dae-ho (declaring freedom) came out, he sent me a text saying, 'Hyung, what should I do now?'" He began discussing the "Kim Dae-ho agency contract tale". He continued, "I recommended an agency to him, and he said that day, 'I'm thinking of signing with them.' Dae-ho is a one-shot, one-kill kind of guy," he added. Kim Dae-ho commented, "I had my heart set on the first company I suggested, and I thought meeting another agency later was meaningless. I believed we could build trust," revealing his connection with his current agency. Jun Hyun-moo advised, "The most important thing for a freelancer is stamina," and took him to a health food restaurant.
Shortly after, the three met with a butcher with "27 years of experience" who personally slaughters, debones, and structures cattle. They were presented with fresh meat, raw liver, chyle, and aorta from a cow slaughtered that day. Along with grilled sirloin and flank steak, they showcased an explosion of beef aroma. During this, Jun Hyun-moo unexpectedly asked, "Have you recently felt attracted to anyone based on appearance?" Kim Dae-ho enthusiastically replied, "Ji-won Ha!" In response, Kwak Tube reminded him, "Didn't you travel together on the show?" Kim Dae-ho affirmed, "Yes. We keep in touch," eliciting jealousy from everyone. Continuing, Jun Hyun-moo joked, "Have you ever thought it would be great if she were your girlfriend?" Kim Dae-ho remarked, "Not to that extent. However, the magnitude of beauty, both externally and internally, is significant. I believe Ji-won Ha will understand without misunderstandings." Following his serious statement, Jun Hyun-moo commended, "That's impressive, Dae-ho," giving him a thumbs up.
