Broadcaster Choi Eun-kyung announced a new beginning.
On the 18th, Choi Eun-kyung revealed through her social media, "A change after 23 years. I am moving to a new agency after submitting my resignation as a KBS announcer in 2002, marking my first agency move in 23 years."
She also noted, "I am very grateful to my former agency colleagues who allowed me to work joyfully until now, and the words that said we will always be family even if I change agencies. It's just touching. I got emotional again while talking on the currency today. These days, I find myself getting emotional too often; maybe it's the menopause."
Additionally, Choi Eun-kyung added, "There's still a mountain of things to resolve, but in the meantime, I am planning an interesting project, so I will take it step by step. Please look forward to it."
Earlier, Choi Eun-kyung faced rumors of forced departure as news broke of her exit from 'Dongchimi,' which she had hosted for 13 years.
As suspicions mounted, Choi Eun-kyung expressed through a lengthy message, "My final farewell will absolutely not be separate on air; just being able to record the show in a fun way as usual is the biggest farewell I can offer you all. I made sure to record it with great excitement, thinking about it." She further expressed, "Thanks to the generous stories shared by the viewers who loved Dongchimi, I was truly able to grow a lot."
