Singer and actress Nana has been receiving negative comments after pointing out the attitude of her junior idol Sunwoo from the group The Boyz.

The reason Nana has been receiving such negative comments is due to the recent controversy over The Boyz's character. Previously, Sunwoo was involved in controversy after he dropped his earphones while trying to board an elevator and shouted, "My earphones." A video showed a security guard immediately running to pick up the earphones and handing them over with both hands, to which Sunwoo accepted them with one hand, sparking the character controversy.
After the video was posted on social media, Nana commented, "He needs to be scolded," and when a netizen rebutted her comment, she responded, "You can tell a lot by looking at one thing." As Nana's reaction drew attention, she expressed her honest feelings through a fan communication platform, saying, "It's not okay to judge a person based on just a short video. I didn't conclude that he's a certain type of person, but I thought his actions were very rude and it was a shocking video for me."
Nana said, "So based on his actions and words, I thought that such behavior is not right. That's why I only wrote my feeling that he needs to be scolded." She further pointed out Sunwoo's actions, stating, "He loudly exclaimed, 'My earphones' so that everyone could hear it when he saw the dropped AirPods. He didn't move an inch despite being just a few steps away."
Following the criticism directed at Sunwoo, his agency, One Hundred, issued a statement, saying, "We deeply apologize for not properly managing issues related to our artist's character. We are fully aware that Sunwoo's appearance in the video could raise character controversy. Additionally, Sunwoo is also calmly reflecting after communicating with our agency."
They added, "However, we regret that the situation is developing differently from the direction in which our agency and the artist are reflecting. We feel very remorseful for not managing the situation more actively before such an incident occurred and for the artist's reckless behavior," but stated that they would take strong legal action to protect the artist from malicious comments that go beyond the limits.
The day after the agency's statement was released, Sunwoo posted an apology to fans expressing regret for his actions. Sunwoo said, "I want to emphasize that this is not just a message to get through this situation. I failed to respond maturely from the beginning due to my shortcomings, and my words and actions, which were meant to defend myself against excessive criticism, inadvertently hurt many people."
Additionally, Sunwoo stated, "I am not just wishing for forgiveness or expressing my unfairness, but rather I should first recognize that if someone saw me that way, then I could have indeed been that kind of person. I will prove to you all and to myself that I am a person who values relationships and feelings with others, even if it takes time."
In conclusion, Sunwoo stated, "This message is to convey my apologies to those who criticized my negligence and immaturity, as well as those who were hurt by my actions. I hope my feelings are conveyed without misunderstanding through this message. Once again, I sincerely apologize for causing discomfort and hurt due to my immature responses. And I am very sorry to my fans, the Dobbies, who have supported me."
Despite this, the negative comments towards Nana continued, with some fans even joining the platform where Nana communicates with her fans to leave malicious comments.
