"New Recruit" is receiving acclaim for its seamless synergy.
The response to Genie TV's original drama "New Recruit" (directed by Min Jin-ki and Jo Je-uk, written by Yoon Ki-young and Kang Go-eun, based on the webtoon by Jang Ppiju, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by A2Z Entertainment and Story Island) is fervent. With the arrival of the third season, the stronger laughter and empathy have perfectly captured viewers' hearts. Above all, the passionate performances of the actors unfold over the reality-filled military life, garnering enthusiastic reactions.
In the last episode, the unexpected actions of Seong Yoon-mo, who has been labeled as a 'legendary villain,' were depicted. While visiting a church for a religious event, he suddenly burst into tears while listening to hymns, and his diligence in even mundane tasks left everyone confused. Corporal Kim Sang-hoon (played by Lee Chung-gu), who had been to the detention facility because of his past misdeeds, found himself overwhelmed with complex emotions upon witnessing this. The one who moved Kim Sang-hoon's heart was Kim Dong-woo (played by Jang Seong-beom). After a heartfelt request for Kim Sang-hoon to give Seong Yoon-mo another chance, he decided, after much contemplation, to accept him as a member of the 1DAEWON dormitory. Meanwhile, Choi Il-goo (played by Nam Tae-woo), who was called to serve as an instructor during the mobilization training, caught attention as he encountered seniors who had previously tormented him, falling into trauma.
Meanwhile, the behind-the-scenes cuts that were revealed capture the fervent passion of the actors who completed the legendary military content. First to catch the eye is Kim Min-ho, who is engrossed in monitoring even during break time. Unlike the naive Park Min-seok, his serious demeanor hints at where his comic acting details, which amuse viewers, come from. On the other hand, Kim Dong-jun, perfectly prepared as a new recruit, impresses with his completed physique.
The charming chemistry between Nam Tae-woo and Cha Yeong-nam in another photo is equally intriguing. The warm atmosphere radiating even during the rehearsal brings a smile to viewers.
