'Catch Your Luck' star Sun Woo-jae-deok ultimately set aside his pride for his family.
In the third episode of the KBS 1TV daily drama 'Catch Your Luck' (written by Son Ji-hye / directed by Park Man-young, Lee Hae-woo / produced by Monster Union, Box Media), which aired on the 16th, Kim Dae-sik (played by Sun Woo-jae-deok) and his wife Lee Hye-sook (played by Oh Young-sil) struggled after Han Moo-cheol (played by Son Chang-min) unexpectedly demanded a security deposit increase.
On that day, Im Ji-a (played by Lee Ah-hyun) found a message sent by Jang-mi (played by Seo Young) on Moo-cheol's phone after he came home drunk. The next day, Ji-a called Jang-mi to check the sender of the message, but was astonished when the other party hastily hung up.
Choi Gyu-tae (played by Park Sang-myun) and Hwang Geum-ok (played by Ahn Yeon-hong) could not hide their shock upon learning that Moo-cheol had raised the security deposit and rent for Dae-sik's chicken restaurant. Dae-sik felt heavy-hearted at the thought that he might have to leave the Daewoon Building, filled with memories of his late father.
Meanwhile, Hye-sook visited Ji-a and pleaded for her to talk to Moo-cheol regarding the security deposit. However, Ji-a, already having seen through Hye-sook's true intentions, demanded that Hye-sook prepare kimchi. Hye-sook, who made fresh kimchi without wearing gloves, returned to the chicken store with her fingers stained bright red. Seeing Hye-sook's swollen hands, Dae-sik was taken aback, and he crumbled upon realizing that his wife had gone to ask Ji-a for a favor. Unable to hold back her sorrow, Hye-sook burst into tears, evoking the audience's sympathy.
On the other hand, Moo-cheol and Dae-sik's children began to get intertwined, sparking viewers' interest. Moo-cheol's eldest son Han Tae-ha (played by Park Ji-sang) and Dae-sik's youngest daughter Kim Ah-jin (played by Kim Hyun-ji) showcased their youthful chemistry every time they met. Additionally, Dae-sik's eldest son Kim Seok-jin (played by Yeon Je-hyung), who returned home secretly after studying abroad, coincidentally encountered Moo-cheol's second child Han Seo-woo (played by Lee So-won) at the airport, raising curiosity about how their relationships will develop.
At the end of the broadcast, Dae-sik, who made a firm resolution, bowed his head in a 'pleading ending,' saying to Moo-cheol, who stated he would put the store up for lease if he did not raise the security deposit, 'Please save me.' This scene made the audience feel sorrowful. In particular, it captured attention with the realistic situations faced by Dae-sik's family, the strong family ties, and the characters' experiences of life's ups and downs portrayed in a fast-paced narrative.
Meanwhile, the fourth episode of KBS 1TV daily drama 'Catch Your Luck' will air today (17th) at 8:30 p.m.
