82 Major begins full-scale comeback activities today.
The group 82 Major (82MAJOR, Namsung, Park Seok-jun, Yoon Ye-chan, Jo Sung-il, Hwang Seong-bin, Kim Do-kyun) will appear on Mnet's 'M Countdown' today (17th) afternoon, where they will unveil the title track 'Takeover' from their mini album 'Silence Syndrome' for the first time on a music broadcast.
On this day, 82 Major will take the stage with a powerful comeback performance. The members, returning with a more mature charm than before, plan to showcase the dignity of a 'performance-oriented idol' with unwavering live skills and a variety of performances.
'Silence Syndrome' is the album released approximately six months after 82 Major's mini album 'X-82' announced last year. It captures a dynamic sound based on the group's unique musical identity.
The title track 'Takeover' is a hip-hop base track that blends various genres of rhythms, including trap, UK drill, and drum and bass. Khundi Panda, IOAH, and XINSAYNE are credited with composing, while Khundi Panda and IOAH participated in the lyrics to enhance the album's quality.
This new release achieved success by entering the top ranks of the U.S. iTunes album charts in countries such as Vietnam, Russia, Thailand, and Italy. It also secured a top position on the Apple Music album charts in Turkey, China, and Malaysia, maintaining its upward momentum.
Meanwhile, 82 Major will kick off their full-scale comeback activities starting with 'M Countdown', followed by appearances on KBS2's 'Music Bank', MBC's 'Show! Music Core', and SBS's 'Inkigayo'.
