In the 79th episode of Channel A's 'Family Overstepped,' airing at 8:10 p.m. today, the 'Danish Family,' Son Ji-hee and Mark, along with their two daughters, Morgan and Robin, grant their appearance, revealing scenes from a 'party' held with Morgan and Robin's friends to celebrate the Danish spring festival 'Pasta Lawn.'
On this day, the 'Danish Family' explains the 'Pasta Lawn' festival, which is somewhat unfamiliar to people in our country, noting, "In Christianity, there is a 40-day fasting period before Jesus Christ's resurrection, and this is a festival day where we celebrate before that period." They continue, "It has since transformed into a cute festival for children." Then, as the 'Danish representative,' Sam Hammington elaborates, "In Denmark, during the 'Pasta Lawn' period, people decorate their homes with ornaments on birch trees to welcome spring. Also, children wake their parents with birch branches, symbolizing the hope of a healthy year ahead." Furthermore, he adds, "Because of this tradition, I can't go to Denmark. My two sons, William and Bentley, are bound to hit me hard with those branches, so it's obvious how it will end up," creating a sense of humor.
A little later, the 'Danish Family' decides to invite Morgan and Robin's friends to their home to host a party for the 'Pasta Lawn' period. The highlight of the festival is an event where children, dressed in costumes, break open wooden barrels to get snacks. While shopping for 'classic snacks' to put in the barrels, the 'Danish Family' picks up 'licorice candy,' which is a traditional Danish candy. In response to Lee Hye-won's curiosity, stating, "I can't imagine licorice-flavored candy," Fabian and Florian from France and Germany explain, "Usually, it's the least popular candy, so when you open a mixed candy bag, it's the last one left at the bottom because no one eats it." However, Sam Hammington expresses, "I love it! I'm 'crazy' about licorice candy~" revealing his unique taste. In response, Ahn Jung-hwan quips, "Sam is quite strange. Even though he hasn't been to that country, he's tasted all the food~" providing some comedic banter.
Meanwhile, during the event where Morgan and Robin were breaking wooden barrels with friends at the Pasta Lawn party, Ahn Jung-hwan keenly catches the subtle change in mood of the eldest daughter, Morgan, who sparked a 'sisters' feud,' revealing his 'veteran dad' side. Sam Hammington also shares the subtle atmosphere between the sisters, saying, "This happens every day at our house~" showcasing his 'reality dad' reaction and making everyone laugh.
