However, she is slowly becoming weary due to the repetitive routine and increasing workload. Just when she contemplates giving up, a patient's words restore her vitality and inspire her enthusiasm at work, indicated by her bright smile that elicits support from viewers.
The transformation of passionate resident Um Jae-il, who is particularly skilled in physical tasks, is also drawing attention. With a unique background as a former idol, Um Jae-il boasts remarkable charisma with patients, nurses, and guardians alike. His diligence is both his strength and weakness. He stays up all night to enhance his knowledge and finally finds the right answers while caring for patients, provoking feelings of satisfaction. This raises curiosity about whether his passion, which does not wane even after failures and reprimands, will shine through.
Kim Sa-bi, an academic-minded student who secured first place from medical school through to the national examination, finds herself unexpectedly categorized as lacking due to her focus on medical facts in dialogue. Even while trying to persuade a patient who refuses surgery, her social skills seem awkward as she consults textbooks. Nevertheless, following the advice of Professor Seo Jeong-min (Lee Bong-ryun), she succeeds in finding her own way to alleviate patients' discomfort, marking her growth as a physician.
"Resident Playbook" thus portrays the process of four unique residents growing into doctors while offering empathy, laughter, and even moments of inspiration. Above all, the chemistry between the four, who are meeting their first workplace colleagues in life, is intriguing, drawing attention to their story of a unique friendship termed "classmates."
