Shin Won-ho said during the director's talk for 'Unseuljeon,' held on the afternoon of the 15th in Myeongdong, Jung-gu, Seoul, that the point at which he fell in love with residents was due to a story about a resident's mistake appearing in episode 6 of 'SleuiSaeng.' 'It was fun and touching once I made it. I wonder what the growth story of young friends, who are Seulgi yet have their growth plates wide open, would be like,' he said.
He added, 'Such growth narratives are not common these days. When life feels frustrating, it might be hard to just sit and watch kids grow up. But the most powerful weapon is the growth narrative. The 'Unseuljeon,' which first aired on the 12th, follows the journey of obstetrics and gynecology residents at Yulje Hospital, including Go Youn-jung (as Oh Yi-young), Shin Si A (as Pyo Nam-gyeong), Kang Yu-seok (as Eom Jae-il), Han Ye-ji (as Kim Sa-bi), and Jung Jun-won (as Gu Do-won), who dream of becoming Seulgi doctors.
