The actress Chae Won-bin from the movie 'YADANG: The Snitch' responded to praise from senior actor Kang Ha-neul.
Chae Won-bin conducted an interview at a cafe in Palpan-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the morning of 16th. During this time, she met with domestic reporters to discuss the film 'YADANG: The Snitch' (directed by Hwang Byeong-guk, provided/distributed by Plus M Entertainment, produced by HYBE Media Corp.) and her recent activities.
'YADANG: The Snitch' is a crime action film in which broker Lee Kang-soo (Kang Ha-neul), who designs the drug trade in South Korea, prosecutor Gu Kwan-hee (Yoo Hae-jin) who aims for a higher position, and detective Oh Sang-jae (Park Hae-jin) who is committed to eradicating drug crimes become intertwined with different objectives. Released nationwide today (16th), it has recorded the number one ticket reservation rate for five consecutive days, garnering attention. Among them, Chae Won-bin appears as Eom Soo-jin.
In particular, Kang Ha-neul, who worked closely with Chae Won-bin, praised him by saying, "It felt like watching a scene from a Hong Kong movie." Regarding this, Chae Won-bin noted, "I think you saw the test scene shot first on the yacht," feeling shy, and expressed gratitude by saying, "Senior Kang Ha-neul gave me so many good comments on set that I remember feeling at a loss. It seemed like the seniors were considerate of me. They encouraged me to perform confidently.
Additionally, she said, "He said so many wonderful things. I happily read the article with those comments. For seniors like him, they were really a great source of strength on set. I was struggling with every scene, and he would ask, 'What are you worried about?' and suggest, 'How about this?' and encouraged us to try different things together. And he's so bright when he smiles. I received a lot of strength. There was a very harmless feeling on set."
In addition, Chae Won-bin shared about working with senior actors like Yoo Hae-jin and Park Hae-jin, saying, "I remember thinking, 'Why me?' when I first heard about the casting. It was an unbelievable opportunity to work with such seniors. When I first met them, I wasn't sure if this expression would be appropriate, but it was amazing that I was included. I was excited to be able to see them work firsthand during that moment."
She continued, "Everyone knows that senior Yoo Hae-jin is a really funny person, but I was amazed while doing promotions. Other seniors would ask how he thought of such things in those situations. One thing that stood out in my memory was when we filmed a video introducing ourselves one by one; I was next after Ryu Kyung-soo, and when I said, 'I am Ryu Kyung-soo in the role of Jo Hoon,' senior Yoo Hae-jin said, 'You should say it's a bad role.' I was happy thanks to my seniors. Since we happened to meet at the shooting location, he often supported me by saying, 'Are we filming this today?'"
