Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, and Jo In-sung are among the grants appearing in the Disney+ hit 'Moving,' with director Kim Sung-hoon confirmed for Season 2.
According to OSEN's report on the 16th, the Disney+ original series 'Moving' Season 2 is set to enter the pre-production phase starting next month, with director Kim Sung-hoon being selected as the new director.
Released in August 2023, 'Moving' is adapted from the webtoon of the same name by Kang Pull, and is a superhero action drama where children living in the present conceal their superpowers while parents, hiding painful secrets from the past, confront a tremendous danger that transcends time and generations.
In Season 1, 50 billion won was invested, drawing attention from the planning stage, with Kang Pull writing the script himself and the cast featuring top stars like Ryu Seung-ryong, Jo In-sung, and Han Hyo-joo, along with emerging talents such as Go Youn-jung, Lee Jeong-ha, and Kim Do-hoon, achieving global success. Riding on the success of Season 1, Disney+ officially announced the production of 'Moving' Season 2 at the 'Disney Content Showcase 2024' held in Singapore last November.
Along with this, director Kim Sung-hoon is set to take the megaphone as the new director for 'Moving' Season 2. Director Kim has directed Netflix series 'Kingdom' (2019), 'Kingdom' Season 2 (2020), and films such as 'The Chaser' (2014), 'Tunnel' (2016), and 'Official Contact' (2023).
As a result, Season 1 director Park In-je is stepping down for Season 2. In the past, directors Kim Sung-hoon and Park In-je directed different episodes of 'Kingdom' Season 2, which draws attention. While the two were not jointly directing, director Kim opened the first episode of Season 2, and director Park directed from the second episode to the last. This time, they are dividing the direction of the series 'Moving.'
'Moving' Season 2's outline has emerged to some extent, with Kang Pull focused on script work for the season. Recently, the production team for Season 2 has been informing the main cast about the progress and communicating details about the director change, proceeding step by step in their preparations.
Meanwhile, 'Moving' Season 2 is set to enter pre-production in May of this year and aims to begin shooting in March of next year.
