Singer and actor Seohyun has finally revealed that she will use informal speech with the members of Girls' Generation.
On the 16th, a new video titled 'Seohyun comes to scold Hyoyeon (with informal speech)' was released on the YouTube channel 'Hyoyeon's Level Up.'
On this day, Hyoyeon said, 'Now, the fans are really looking forward to Seohyun coming. Because we've talked a lot about Seohyun here and there,' and Seohyun shared, 'I saw it all.'
In response, Hyoyeon looked somewhat flustered as she stared into the camera, and Seohyun remarked, 'Unnie said it feels awkward for me to use informal speech. I can do it, but unnie feels awkward, so I thought, 'Shouldn't I do it?' During the episode with Sooyoung, she said, 'It feels a bit awkward when Seohyun uses informal speech,' and I was like, 'Yeah, yeah.' Hearing this, Hyoyeon said, 'It's really okay. Just be comfortable,' but when Seohyun said, 'Okay,' using informal speech, it awkwardly elicited laughter.
While they were chatting, Hyoyeon asked, 'When we met recently, didn't you say to use informal speech? So do you use informal speech with friends like Hanni?' Seohyun replied, 'I use informal speech with Hanni, Sooyoung, and Yuri unnie. The reason I started using informal speech then was that when appearing alongside seniors, there was a bit of an age difference. Since I always said, 'Hello,' they told me, 'Don't do that, you should speak like friends so it feels more comfortable in acting,' so I forced myself to say, 'Hi, have you eaten?'
Seohyun continued, 'But once I started using informal speech, it felt really friendly,' and Hyoyeon said, 'Use informal speech with me too.' Seohyun replied, 'But since Yoona unnie mixes informal and formal speech, I think, 'I'm the maknae, so who am I to use informal speech?' So I consider that mixing them might be better.'
However, Seohyun noted that she has not yet used informal speech in person, adding, 'I do it through KakaoTalk. I say, 'Unnie, what are you doing?'
Meanwhile, Seohyun will meet audiences through the movie 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters,' which will be released on the 30th.
