On the 17th (Thursday), MBC's "Save Me! Homes" (directed by Jeong Da-hi, Kim Moon-seob, Son In-ji, Kim Wan-cheol, Heo Ja-yoon; hereinafter referred to as "Homes") will broadcast the second part of the working investigation in the Daechi-dong academy district.
This broadcast features the representative academic district of South Korea, with the second part of the working investigation in the Daechi-dong academy district, where last week, the broadcaster Hyun-young, known as the "entertainment industry's super mom," and broadcaster Heo Seong-beom, who graduated from a gifted high school, along with Yang Seo-chan, embarked on the investigation.
The three of them head to the main street of the Daechi-dong academy district. Heo Seong-beom introduces, "Many instructors in Daechi-dong have dreams, but rather than being located in the outskirts, we would like to establish a research lab bearing the names of instructors on the main street." He continues, "You can think of the lab as a one-person teacher's office, where the lab is the main base, and the academy is only visited during classes," he says.
Hyun-young also shares her thoughts, saying, "As I actually looked around Daechi-dong, I noticed that there are many labs named after instructors. Only successful and popular top instructors have their own labs."
Taking advantage of the moment, the three of them set out to explore the ultimate working investigation of the Daechi-dong academy district, the star instructor's lab. They visit the lab of Shin Min, a 13-year veteran integrated science teacher, which is described as a space for research on teaching materials and responding to student inquiries. Meeting star instructor Shin Min, Yang Seo-chan asks the frequently asked question, "How many did you get wrong on the college entrance exam?" This raises anticipation for his response in the upcoming broadcast.
In response to the question, "How many instructors are there in Daechi-dong?" Shin Min mentions, "There are about 200 instructors at just one academy that I attend. Even if we estimate generously, it seems there are more than 10,000. And there is also a group chat for instructors' communities," he notes, attracting attention.
The three of them ask a variety of unique questions that they had been curious about but hesitated to ask. Shin Min reportedly answered very honestly, even to sensitive questions such as the salary of a star instructor, recruitment offers, and tips for surviving as a star instructor, sparking curiosity.
Shin Min reveals the deposit and monthly rent for the Daechi-dong lab, stating that finding a lab in Daechi-dong is extremely difficult. He says, "Even if a dental clinic closes in Daechi-dong, there are situations where people rush to use it as a lab," drawing attention.
Meanwhile, this week's broadcast will follow the working investigation of the Daechi-dong academy district with singer KCM, comedian Kim Won-hoon, and Park Na-rae embarking on a working investigation of vacant houses in Seoul. Park Na-rae introduces that there are over 6,000 vacant houses left abandoned in Seoul, and approximately 20,000 in the metropolitan area.
The second part of the working investigation in Daechi-dong will be aired on the 17th (Thursday) at 10 p.m. on MBC's "Save Me! Homes."
