(Following Interview ④) Actor Park Hae-joon of the film "YADANG: The Snitch" expressed his thoughts on meeting the nation's MC, Yoo Jae-suk, on "You Quiz on the Block."
Park Hae-joon conducted an interview at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 15th. During the meeting, he spoke with domestic reporters about the film "YADANG: The Snitch" (director Hwang Byeong-kuk, provided/distributed by Plus M Entertainment, produced by HYBE).
"YADANG: The Snitch" is a crime action film that unfolds as drug brokers, prosecutors striving to rise higher, and detectives committed to eradicating drug crimes get entangled with different objectives. In this film, Park Hae-joon plays the role of Detective Oh Sang-jae, who struggles to combat drug crime.
Before the film, Park Hae-joon received acclaim for portraying the middle-aged protagonist, Kwan-sik, in the Netflix original series "When Life Gives You Tangerines." He also invited the "When Life Gives You Tangerines" team to the VIP preview. Thanks to this interest, he appeared as a guest on the tvN variety show "You Quiz on the Block" (abbreviated as You Quiz). What were his thoughts on participating in the talk show hosted by the nation's MC, Yoo Jae-suk, and comedian Cho Sae-ho?
Park Hae-joon said, "I shot without any thoughts and mustered the courage. But it felt like it ended in great fun because everyone was so responsive next to me. Honestly, I wasn't in my right mind. I couldn't gather myself. I was floating, and I didn't have the leisure to calm my heart. I think I ended up floating along with Mr. Sae-ho and senior Yoo Jae-suk, excitedly discussing how well the work turned out."
"Honestly, I don't remember what we talked about," he remarked, "However, there are many wonderful and thoughtful people on "You Quiz". It's a show that prompts a lot of reflection from its guests, and I was worried that I might cause trouble for them."
He expressed humility, stating, "I'm not someone notable, and I'm nothing special, yet I went on because the work turned out well." He added, "But I managed to overcome that. I felt that if I thought too much about those things, I wouldn't be able to go out." Park Hae-joon said, "I just had a great time. It wasn't about asking questions; I think just sharing stories as individuals was the most comfortable. They really seemed to prepare diligently."
"YADANG: The Snitch" will be released on the 16th.
