Ailey and Choi Si-hoon expressed their feelings about the rumors.
On the 15th, the couple, singer Ailey and her husband Choi Si-hoon, appeared as guests on tvN STORY's "Kim Chang-ok Show 3."
That day, Ailey mentioned regarding her worries, "This may be a concern we have to carry for our entire lives, but since my husband continues to be exposed to the media and online, people compare us or create stories that don't exist, spreading rumors. It hurts him a lot."
She continued, "My husband really works hard. He lives diligently while doing various jobs, but people think he's unemployed. He not only works as an influencer but is also employed and works at a company. He works hard, but people think I only work and live with my own money, and since negative stories keep coming out, he feels really upset. From my standpoint, it's really distressing, and I can't do anything to help."
Choi Si-hoon confessed, "After appearing on 'Solo Hell,' rumors arose that invalidated my hard-earned life, and it was really tough. I didn't want to be active anymore. I wished people wouldn't know me. But somehow, I met my wife and got married, and then the interest started again, leading to those stories. I work really hard, and it's a bit upsetting."
When asked by the panelists about how to overcome a wounded heart, Choi Si-hoon replied, "Work is hard, and mentally it's tough, so at some point, my expression becomes blank, and I turn into a robot. There were times when I just sat at home for a long time. When it's too tough, I go to a room where no one is and sit quietly without thinking, trying to manage my emotions."
Seeing her husband's unnoticed pain, Ailey said, "If I hadn't met you, I wouldn't have had to live so hard while worrying about others' gazes. I'm very sorry. But I'm grateful you chose me, and I feel that way." Tears streamed down her face, evoking sympathy.
Meanwhile, Ailey will hold her wedding on April 20 after dating Choi Si-hoon, a participant in 'Solo Hell,' for about a year. The two are reportedly said to have filed for marriage registration last August.
