Na Young-seok's heartwarming story is gaining attention as it comes to light belatedly.
On the 1st, a video from the YouTube channel 'Channel 15' featured a comment from an anonymous internet user sharing a story about Na Young-seok.
He conveyed, regarding a video about Na Young-seok's recent updates on social media, "PD, on March 31, yesterday, you physically blocked a drunken passenger on the Korean Air Jeju-Gimpo route and assisted the flight attendants. I sincerely appreciate it."
He added, "It seems like you're just starting on Instagram, so I'm leaving a thank you here in case you might check your DMs late. In the future, if I witness any of your cool acts, I'll definitely leave them here!"
The comment received over 860 'likes' and sparked considerable attention, leading to news coverage. Other internet users who belatedly learned of Na Young-seok's story expressed their admiration with comments like, "Why wasn't this known before?", "I commend this", and "It's not an easy task, but it's impressive."
Recently, when a large wildfire broke out in the Yeongnam region causing substantial damage, Na Young-seok, along with the Egg Is Coming team, gathered donations and contributed funds. Egg Is Coming donated 50 million won, while Na Young-seok and fellow prominent creators Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung, and Lee Myung-han collectively added another 50 million won, totaling 100 million won to Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association.
At that time, Egg Is Coming stated through the 'Channel 15' channel, "We hope the affected areas can recover quickly so that the residents can regain their precious everyday lives," and said, "We are participating in the donation to contribute our small hearts."
Amid this, the fact that Na Young-seok physically intervened to stop a drunken passenger from causing a disturbance on a plane has become widely recognized, earning him another story of goodwill. Considering that in-flight disturbances can escalate into significant incidents, aviation security laws dictate penalties of up to three years in prison or fines of up to 30 million won. Many are applauding Na Young-seok's brave actions that prevented an even bigger uproar in a potentially dangerous situation.
Meanwhile, Na Young-seok began his career as a KBS producer in 2001 and established himself as a star PD representing Korean variety shows by creating KBS2's flagship program '1 Night 2 Days' series. After leaving KBS, he transferred to CJ ENM and played a key role in elevating tvN to a level comparable to public broadcasting with successful series like 'Flower Boy', 'New Journey to the West', 'Three Meals a Day', 'Youn's Kitchen', and 'Seo Jin's House'.
