The 'OST House' Studio Maum C has once again announced the birth of a 'listenable OST.'
The tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 'Resident Playbook' (hereafter 'Unsljeon') aired its first episode on the 12th, with OST Parts 1 and 2 receiving positive reviews, signaling the return of the 'OST powerhouse.' In particular, at the center of this is Studio Maum C.
Studio Maum C has been responsible for hit OSTs for numerous dramas, including 'Hospital Playlist' Seasons 1 and 2, 'Goblin,' 'Search: WWW,' 'My Lovely Kim Sam Soon,' 'Twenty-Five Twenty-One,' 'My Liberation Notes,' and 'Crash Course in Romance.'
When news broke that Studio Maum C was participating in the OST production for 'Unsljeon,' a spin-off of 'Hospital Playlist,' fans of the drama and music enthusiasts alike expressed deep trust. This was thanks to the belief that the lineage of 'listenable OSTs' would continue.
The lineup for the OST participation is spectacular. Stray Kids' Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N, Ive's An Yujin, Doh Kyung Soo, aespa's Winter, Tomorrow X Together, and Seventeen's Dokyeom, as well as (G)I-DLE's Minnie, all top domestic artists are gathered, making it feel like an awards ceremony.
Additionally, it is reported that the band MiDo and Parasol, born from 'Hospital Playlist,' also contributed vocals to the 'Unsljeon' OST, raising anticipation to new heights. The collaboration between Studio Maum C, known as the 'OST success guarantee,' and leading domestic artists already has expectations for the birth of a 'well-made OST.'
The start was made by Stray Kids' Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N, key figures in the K-pop craze. Those who performed 'START!' from the 'Unsljeon' OST sang about youth loving the present and moving forward brightly and energetically. Each unique vocal beautifully blended over a rich sound, enhancing the immersion in the drama.
The released Part 2 'Sunny Day' is the first drama OST sung by Ive's An Yujin since debut. An Yujin's signature clear and refreshing vocal tone feels warm like a spring day. The song captures the tumultuous excitement of youth towards the future, invigorating listeners' day by day. With just these two tracks, Studio Maum C has already elicited a response of 'as expected,' and the success of the 'Unsljeon' OST seems to be a foregone conclusion.
