The 44th episode of the MBC entertainment program 'It's a relief to rest' (abbreviated as 'It's relief'), which aired on the 14th, was decorated with a special segment called 'The excitement is unbelievable' featuring Boom, Young-tak, Jung Dong-won, and Yang Se-hyung to commemorate its 1st anniversary. According to the rating survey company Nielsen Korea, the broadcast recorded a rating of 5.7% (based on the capital area) and achieved the highest rating among all entertainment programs aired on Monday. It continued to hold the title of strongest Monday entertainment show as 'It's relief' ranked first in the key indicator of channel competitiveness and notoriety: the 2049 rating.
On this day, Boom, Young-tak, Jung Dong-won, and Yang Se-hyung displayed an unprecedented level of excitement even from the boat heading to the deserted island. 'CEO Ahn' Ahn Jung-hwan noted, "It's the most exciting start in 'It's relief' history." Among them, Jung Dong-won's appearance, who visited a deserted island for the first time as soon as his ID was issued, caught attention. He showed an overflowing excitement among his close uncles, but when faced with the deserted island, he was surprised, saying he was "very flustered" in the empty environment.
They first challenged themselves to squid fishing. The seasonal squid is a premium fish that costs 50,000 won each. Thanks to the four members of the excitement group, a bountiful harvest of squid was found on the boat. In response, the captain opened an instant 'boat omakase,' slicing squid sashimi into various forms to allow for a variety of textures. Jung Dong-won could not hide his ecstatic expression at the banquet he was trying for the first time on the boat. In the following sea urchin gathering, Young-tak caught a highly priced sea urchin, which is exported in large quantities to Japan and rare in our country. Beginner Jung Dong-won threw himself into a puddle to catch fish with his bare hands, but they were too small to keep. The main chef of the deserted island restaurant for the 1st anniversary was Boom. Boom entrusted the preparation of squid to Jung Dong-won, who usually does not cook. Even while his uncles finished other preparations, Jung Dong-won was trapped in squid cleaning hell, causing laughter. After completing the cleaning, when Boom instructed him to cut the squid long, he diligently fulfilled his task with his own unique slicing technique, earning compliments from his uncles.
The menu prepared by Boom as a course meal included 'sea urchin gimbap' and 'fried squid.' The sea urchin gimbap was perfectly completed with Boom's special seasoning. However, the fried squid faced issues as the batter was not properly applied. Ultimately, assistant chef Yang Se-hyung stepped in to remedy the situation, completing perfect fried squid. Consequently, Young-tak and Jung Dong-won recognized Yang Se-hyung as the main chef, and Boom dropped to the lowest rank.
Rejuvenated Boom prepared 'fried squid' as the final dish. The fried squid, enhanced with Boom's specialty spicy seasoning and topped with whole garlic fried, was perfectly completed. Through this, Boom was able to restore his pride as the main chef.
What's more special about this deserted island restaurant is that, in addition to delicious food, a dinner show is taking place. Jung Dong-won sang the new song 'Excitement!' while Young-tak sang 'Hanlyangga,' perfectly blending with the natural environment of the deserted island, filling it with excitement. It was a time when everyone got immersed in the charm of 'Excitement' where beautiful scenery, delicious food, and exciting songs all came together.
