Comedian Park Na-rae postponed the filming of 'Narae's Kitchen' due to the aftermath of a burglary at her home. However, this has been confirmed to be unrelated to the police investigation.
On the 15th, a representative from Park Na-rae's side told OSEN that a report claiming the filming of 'Narae's Kitchen' was canceled due to a police investigation was "false news."
Earlier, a media outlet reported that Park Na-rae canceled the filming of her YouTube channel 'Narae's Kitchen' due to her recent attendance at a police investigation. Just before the filming, she reportedly sought the guest's understanding and headed to the police station to write a victim's statement.
However, regarding this matter, Park Na-rae's side clarified to OSEN that "the report that Park Na-rae attended the police for questioning is false" and added, "The police investigation was conducted by her attorney and staff. Park Na-rae has never been to the police station."
In particular, it is said that the filming of 'Narae's Kitchen' was not canceled by Park Na-rae's side but rather postponed at the suggestion of the production team. A source stated, "The production company (broadcaster) suggested postponing the filming by one week due to the burglary incident," and emphasized, "It was not a cancellation but a rescheduling. The filming is scheduled to proceed next week."
Park Na-rae purchased a detached house in Yongsan, Seoul, for 5.5 billion won in 2021 and revealed her home through MBC's 'I Live Alone.' However, on the 8th, news broke that Park Na-rae suffered a theft of valuables worth millions of won from her home, causing shock. In response, the production team proposed to postpone the filming schedule considering Park Na-rae. A source emphasized, "The filming schedule for 'Narae's Kitchen' has not been disrupted due to the police investigation. The police investigation was attended by her legal team on her behalf."
In fact, when Park Na-rae first learned about the theft incident, she was reportedly in shock and complained of poor condition. She was scheduled to appear as a guest on MBC Standard FM's 'Son Tae-jin's Trot Radio' on the 8th, but prior to the broadcast, a cancellation notice was posted. A source explained, "A recent theft incident occurred, and it was confirmed on the 7th. Since she lives alone and her manager is also a woman, she felt scared. Due to a sleepless night, she showed symptoms of being rundown today."
Park Na-rae filed a report with the police on the afternoon of the 8th after discussions, and the thief was caught by the police about a week later on the 14th. Initial speculation arose regarding the possibility of internal involvement, leading to suspicion of Park Na-rae's acquaintances. However, Park Na-rae's side officially stated, "We regard the incident as a theft by an outsider and submitted footage from the CCTV in her home to the police on the 8th, requesting an investigation. The police later identified the suspect and arrested him, and it appears an arrest warrant has already been issued. While some speculated about internal involvement, we clearly state that this is not true."
With the arrest of the suspect, the incident has been resolved for now. Park Na-rae has reportedly recovered to normal condition and is fulfilling her scheduled activities. She attended the filming of 'I Live Alone' on the 14th and plans to resume the postponed filming of 'Narae's Kitchen.'
