Group 82 Major (82MAJOR) broke their silence today and announced an ambitious comeback.
82 Major (Namsung, Park Seok-jun, Yoon Ye-chan, Jo Sung-il, Hwang Seong-bin, Kim Do-kyun) will release their mini album 'SILENCE SYNDROME' at 6 p.m. on the 14th through various online music sites.
'SILENCE SYNDROME' is an album that will be released about 6 months after the mini album 'X-82' announced last year. It is expected to contain music and performances that are upgraded compared to before, based on the unique musical color of 82 Major.

Q. You made a comeback with mini album 'SILENCE SYNDROME.' I'm curious about your thoughts.
Park Seok-jun: I'm thrilled to be able to show you an album we've worked hard on. Every time we've shown a different concept, but this time 'What do you see (TAKEOVER)' is special because I dyed my hair for the first time and it's a new challenge! This music video also has a movie-like atmosphere combined with the unique character and wit of 82 Major, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the public perceives it.
Q. What kind of album is 'SILENCE SYNDROME'? Please also introduce the title track 'What do you see (TAKEOVER).'
Jo Sung-il: 'SILENCE' in the mini album 'SILENCE SYNDROME' has a dual meaning. First, it refers to the current situation of conforming to silence (SILENCE) within a standardized system. And it contains the idea that 82 Major will break that system and astonish people with our own music, rendering them speechless (SILENCE).
Hwang Seong-bin: The title track 'What do you see (TAKEOVER)' is a hip-hop base track that blends various rhythms from genres like trap, UK drill, and drum and bass. The key point of the song is our rebellious attitude and confident ambition of not taking the same path as others.
Q. Is there a point to observe for this album or the title track's stage?
Kim Do-kyun: The point is the intense choreography that matches the direct expression of 'What do you see.' There are gestures that literally say 'What do you see' in the chorus, and the overall difficulty is high, so I think viewers will feel strong energy.
Q. The concept photos for the new release are unique. Fashion is also an essential part for 82 Major. Is there a 'pursuit beauty' for this activity's concept?
Yoon Ye-chan: We tried various styles for this album. Some members dyed their hair for the first time, and we've combined several styles, like punk grunge, into our own color. Overall, we tried to show a style that is not typical and free, showcasing the unique style of 82 Major!
Q. You participated in writing and composing the included songs. If you had to pick your favorite track?
Namsung: 'Promise You' is special because it's a gift for our fans. From the beginning of creating the song, I only thought of our fans, and the title was selected through a vote by the fans from six titles that the members came up with. I'm happy that my title was chosen, but the main reason this song is special to me is that it was created together with our fandom, Attitude.
Yoon Ye-chan: 'Hero's Song' is a song that embodies the charm and confidence of 82 Major! I especially love the lyrics 'Walk like Chow Yun-fat.' When Seong-mo said this line, I thought it was a perfect expression that fits the song really well. The song's atmosphere is also really 'cool,' so when you listen to it, you will feel the aura of 82 Major.
Q. The music video for 'What do you see (TAKEOVER)' feels like a movie. Do you have any memorable episodes or points to observe while filming?
Namsung: I remember when we were running on the road, a dog that was nearby ran over and joined us. It was surprising and fun because it wasn't expected at all!
Park Seok-jun: This music video has a storyline that feels like a movie. A film director actually participated in the shoot, so you can enjoy beautiful visuals like a movie. Also, our new styling is a point, so I hope everyone enjoys it together.
Q. You are known as 'performance-type idols' since you hold concerts with every album. Do you have plans to be with fans during this activity?
Yoon Ye-chan: 82 Major enjoys and has the most fun when performing. It's hard to say exactly yet, but we are working hard to create opportunities to perform on stage while enjoying together with our fans. If we have a concert, please make sure to come visit!
Q. What goals do you want to achieve through this comeback, and what new titles do you wish to earn?
Jo Sung-il: First, my goal is to have many people listen to this album! Thank you for the love during last 'Tip of the Tongue (Stuck)' activity! I hope you enjoy this 'What do you see (TAKEOVER)' that we've prepared diligently. I also want to reach number one!
Hwang Seong-bin: I think the term 'rebellious child' fits well with this album's concept. I would like to hear the term 'rebellious child' as meaning that I have successfully conveyed the concept.
Kim Do-kyun: I want to tackle any concept well, so I would like to earn the term 'Rainbow.'
Park Seok-jun: I want us to earn the term 'black hole-like' as our team description. I want to become a group whose charm is so captivating that people can't help but fall in!
Q. If there are any dreams or goals you want to achieve for 82 Major as a team or individually?
Namsung: I hope all the songs from 82 Major's albums enter the music charts! I hope many people listen to and love all our songs.
Yoon Ye-chan: I want to go to the Grammy Awards! I want to show 82 Major's performance on a big stage!

Kim Do-kyun: While preparing for this album, I thought a lot about the fans who are waiting for us. So I wanted to show an even cooler side, and that motivated me to prepare diligently. I will show you the upgraded version of 82 Major through the activity 'What do you see (TAKEOVER).' I will strive to be an artist who energizes our fan community!
