Actor Ahn Jae-mo and singer Jeon Jin, who tasted success in drama and music, appeared in the MBN show "Let's go GO4."
In the 10th episode of MBN's "Let's go GO4," which aired on the 13th, actor Ahn Jae-mo, who won the love of the nation through the drama "A World of Married Couples," and Jeon Jin, a member of the original idol group Shinhwa, appeared and shared an honest conversation.
MC Ahn Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee first visited the home of Ahn Jae-mo, who lives in a charming 75-pyeong large townhouse in Yongin. Ahn Jae-mo, who revealed that he won the "youngest acting award" due to the love for the drama "A World of Married Couples," shared a story about being loved in Mongolia after the drama's success, proudly stating, "There is not a single person in Mongolia who does not know me."
The MCs were curious, asking, "Did you make a lot of money? I heard you used to receive land as gifts overseas?" Ahn Jae-mo replied, "I received the highest price in Mongolia. The president of Mongolia gave me land, but at the time, I thought, 'Will I ever come back?' So I didn't accept the land document. Did I know it would develop like this?" which elicited a sigh.
Ahn Jae-mo also revealed a special bond with actor Yoo Dong-geun. He stated, "After appearing with Yoo Dong-geun as a rich man in my first historical drama 'Tears of the Dragon,' I also acted with him in the dramas 'Jeong Do-jeon' and 'Yeon Gaesomun.'" He shared, "At first, it was scary. But after the rehearsal, he would say to me, 'Bring me the script,' and every week during filming, he would review my acting. I wondered, 'Am I really that bad at acting?' He said, 'If I thought you couldn't do it, I wouldn't have helped you.' He was generous towards me."
However, Ahn Jae-mo mentioned, "After failing my activities in Japan, I was inactive for about six years, and I couldn't even contact Teacher Yoo Dong-geun. I didn't have the courage to give him the wedding invitation. On the wedding day, I noticed a commotion and saw Teacher Yoo Dong-geun, wearing sunglasses, coming. He must have heard from acquaintances that I was getting married," he recounted, adding, "He said to me, 'How come you didn't send me an invitation? Congratulations,' and he brought a cash gift. I was shocked when he entered, feeling so sorry that I wanted to run away."
Finally, Ahn Jae-mo candidly opened up about a past experience where he lost hundreds of millions of won while investing for his family. He mentioned, "Before marriage, I had a home equity loan due to business, and my wife, finding having debt uneasy, organized the loan payment." He also revealed, "I actually caused enough trouble to have a sufficient reason for divorce. But it wasn't because of a lavish lifestyle or hobbies. 600 million won just turned to waste," expressing regret.
As the second guest, Jeon Jin, a member of the original idol group Shinhwa, who is living a life dramatically changed after marrying his beautiful wife, revealed his charming 50-pyeong newlywed home. Jeon Jin said, "I am currently in my 5th year of marriage. After marriage, people say my appearance has improved a lot. I used to like going out with friends, but now I only go out alone if I'm not going out with my wife," confessing to a life centered around his wife.
Jeon Jin talked about how he first met his wife, stating, "She came to congratulate a friend's wedding, and I fell in love at first sight," and MC Ahn Jung-hwan also related, "I felt the same way. I was a bachelor, but I felt a halo from my wife. I could only see her, and everything else was out of focus. It was strange," resonating with Jeon Jin's story.
The MCs asked the sweet couple Jeon Jin and his wife, "What kind of things have you done (for love)?" Jeon Jin replied, "My wife even puts on underwear for me. I'm not good at applying body lotion, so when she applies it, she says, 'Now your right foot~.'
