The group ENHYPEN is set to return in June with a new album. Their upcoming release comes about 7 months after their previous work 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream-'.
ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki) surprised fans with the announcement, saying, "We have one piece of news. We are coming back on June 5th," immediately after finishing their set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on the 13th.
According to their agency Belift Lab, ENHYPEN has been dedicated to preparing for the 'Coachella' performance while simultaneously working on their sixth mini album, investing significant effort. Given that ENHYPEN has established its team identity with a unique album narrative and concept, global fans are eagerly anticipating the new music and stories they will showcase.
ENHYPEN has grown through five series, including 'BORDER', 'DIMENSION', 'MANIFESTO', 'BLOOD', and 'ROMANCE'. The boy who crossed the BORDER faced a multifaceted (DIMENSION) world of confusion and found his own answer, declaring it (MANIFESTO) to the same generation. They conveyed the story of 'me' who shares love (ROMANCE) with 'you' belonging to a world opposite.
In particular, ENHYPEN showed explosive growth last year, solidifying their status as a 'K-pop top tier'. Their second full album 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD' reached the 'triple million seller' status, and 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream-' set a record for the highest first-week sales of any K-pop repackaged album (1,406,926 copies).
ENHYPEN's albums sold over 5.45 million copies last year alone, making it the third highest among K-pop artists. Based on this, ENHYPEN ranked highest among K-pop artists in the '2024 Global Album Sales Chart' and '2024 Global Album Chart' released by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), proving their solid album power across domestic and international markets.
The momentum of ENHYPEN continues this year. They captivated viewers recently with the release of the digital single 'Loose' and their appearance on the popular American talk show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'. On the 13th, they made a significant impact at the largest music festival in the U.S., 'Coachella Valley,' with an energetic performance and live show. ENHYPEN will take the stage at 'Coachella' once more on the 19th (local time).
