Rookie trot singer Na Jung-wook is taking his first step into the music industry with a meaningful debut song.
Na Jung-wook's first single album 'Becoming a Star in the Night Sky' will be released on the 14th at noon through various music streaming sites.
'Becoming a Star in the Night Sky' is a ballad that captures the essence of trot, featuring a sweet piano melody and warm tunes. The poignant yet hopeful lyrics provide a profound resonance to listeners.
This song gains additional significance as it is a posthumous work involving the late Oh Chang-hoon, who passed away in November 2023 after battling cancer. Oh Chang-hoon was loved while working as a member of the male duo One Two alongside Song Ho-bum. One Two debuted in 2003 under JYP Entertainment led by Park Jin-young and produced hit songs such as 'Shake Your Butt,' 'Mean Woman,' and 'On a Starry Night.'
Oh Chang-hoon's family noted, "We are pleased that the song left by the deceased is finally coming out into the world," adding, "We hope that 'Becoming a Star in the Night Sky,' completed with Na Jung-wook's voice, receives much love from the public."
'Becoming a Star in the Night Sky' was completed after arrangements by composers Na Ui-hyun and Kim Young-sung. Na Jung-wook said, "It is an honor to sing such a wonderful song," adding, "I tried to express the deep emotions of the song well. There were many moments while singing that made me feel choked up."
Na Jung-wook plans to carry out active activities starting from this debut single album. Next month, he is set to release a trot dance song. Na Jung-wook expressed his aspirations, saying, "I want to be a singer who can provide inspiration, comfort, and joy to many people."
