The movie "Soju War," which opens the summer theater peak season, has confirmed its release on June 3 (Tuesday) and unveiled its first poster.
The film "Soju War" (produced by The Lamp Co., Ltd., distributed by SHOWBOX) has confirmed its release on June 3 (Tuesday) and showcased a first poster that hints at a fierce showdown between Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Jay-hoon. "Soju War" tells the story of Jong-rok, the financial director who sees the soju company as his entire life, and In-beom, an employee of a global investment company solely pursuing revenue, who face off for the fate of soju for the Korean people.
The released first poster features national treasure actor Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Jay-hoon, along with another main character in "Soju War," soju itself. In 1997, as foreign capital began to flow into Korea due to the IMF crisis, the national treasure soju that dominated the nation faced a bankruptcy crisis. The Korean employee of the global investment firm, Choi In-beom (Lee Jay-hoon), who watched this timing closely, approaches the company for the purpose of acquiring the national treasure soju, while the financial director of the soju company, Pyo Jong-rok (Yoo Hae-jin), moves with a firm determination to save the company.
The poster captures the appealing combination of Pyo Jong-rok (Yoo Hae-jin), who tries to protect the soju company, and Choi In-beom (Lee Jay-hoon), who hides ambitions to swallow the soju company. Additionally, it stimulates curiosity about how soju, the companion that has shared the joys and sorrows of the Korean people, will play a mediating role in the film.
"Soju War" is prepared to meet audiences as a film that provides enjoyment without a hangover that all generations can enjoy, coinciding with the start of the summer theater peak season. "Soju War" will be released on June 3 (Tuesday).
